Hey! I'm really glad I'm sharing this story! Like this one I have quite a few stored away over the last four years. I love to write. Lol.
I love merging Val and Allira's pov together. It brings out a more realistic view of both their thoughts. I hope you all are enjoying this story and enjoy these next two chapters!
Enjoy~Allira and Val
~After Allira helped Val out of her car into her home, she sat Val on the sofa that was facing her front window. She always enjoyed the view from her window, so there was no television blocking her way. Val instantly took comfort in the soft cushion loosening her body in its support. She was actually feeling a lot better. Quicker than she expected, although exhaustion never subsided. If anything, the slightest movement exerted her. She waited patiently for Allira to come back to her and closed her eyes letting her exhaustion take over.
Waking up, Val gradually opened her eyes. Gazing through the half closed curtain window she became aware of the dark sky. She slept all through the afternoon, almost forgetting where she was. Noticing the front door to her left and the huge window a second time in front, Val remembered coming here with Allira. Val twisted her body into the sofa glancing behind her. The slightest twisting of her neck made her stifle a groan. A kitchen was to her left and a small hall curved to what looked to be a bathroom and further down, a room.
She saw no sign of Allira and slowly stood up making her way to the bathroom. She had enough strength to stagger pass the kitchen and connected dining room to the bathroom before feeling nauseated and lightheaded. This feeling was no joke. Val leaned forward against the door of the bathroom with her uninjured arm and then lowered her bad arm to the doorknob and slowly twisted it. She sucked in deep breaths to stop the emerging feeling of wanting to vomit and pass out. Shit!
When Val opened the door she halted like a deer faced against headlights, as Allira nearly bumped into her walking out.
Val flushed as her arousal twirled around her like a hula-hoop. Allira stood inches from her only covered with a tile, the cleavage of her breast showing. Her wet hair cling to Allira's face and for only an instant Val thought she saw her eyes change color.
Val and Allira stood immobile for another minute before Allira stepped back.
Allira quickly averted her head, taking in a small shuttering breath.
Val saw fear and confusion in Allira's expression before she tried to hide it. It was too late. "I'm sorry. I didn't know-''
"No need to apologize," Allira quickly responded. "I'm not use to others in my house."
Val furrowed a brow confused and then sighed. "I should have knocked."
"Still..." Allira gazed into her eyes then averted away. Stop letting this woman effect you.
Val never turned away. Human or Were, again Allira gave Val dominance.
Val nodded sliding away, leaving enough room for Allira to pass. You are confusing and sexy, Val noted consciously.
Trying hard not to touch her, Allira twisted her body sliding out of the bathroom.
Watching Allira escape in her room, Val finally made her way inside. She closed the door and then leaned her hands against the sink counter along with her thighs pressed against it then turned on the sink water. She let the water glide through her fingers before putting a pool of it in her hands to soak onto her face. She heard a knock at the door and broke her form of comfort from the warm water.
"There are clean tiles and a pair of clothes on top of the toilet," Allira said through the door.
After a few seconds Val heard her footsteps distancing.
It took nearly an hour to wash up and change clothes before Val made it out the bathroom. She wore sweat pants and a tank top that squeezed a little tighter around her breast than it would have on Allira's body. Walking toward the living room she noticed Allira in the kitchen and stopped. She was cooking something on the stove back turned and Val's eyes scoped her. Damn you're gorgeous.
Allira could feel Val watching her and turned breaking the sight of whatever Val was looking at. She gazed at her suspiciously, giving her a nervous smile. "Are you hungry?"
"Starving," Val admitte, but apparently not just for food. She hadn't realized it till Allira asked. About the food part. It was already clear Val wanted Allira. Val smile was short lived. Thinking of how those wolves attacked her, she could say they were hungry too. Her eyes grew dark, taking away the pale brown and turning dark sugar brown. Her face contorted with a frown followed by disgust.
"Are you okay?" Allira asked. She saw how Val's expression changed so abruptly. She walked over to Val when she didn't answer, putting her hand on her shoulder.
The touched warmed every nerve in her.
Val's body flooded with a deep desire to touch Allira back. To stroke her skin and kiss between her breasts, letting her warmth feel her like oxygen. Val gasped, her knees nearly giving out.
Allira didn't expect Val to respond so physically by a simple touch and it made her wonder what Val was thinking, although the scent of Val's arousal was skyrocketing.
Moving her hand away, Allira told herself to never touch Val again. But she wanted too and that scared her. Control yourself.
"Why can't I go back to the lodge? Why am I not at a hospital?" Val finally asked as her arousal subsided and rationality kicked in.
"It's not what you think?" Allira assured.
"Then tell me...what am I thinking?" Val contorted her face, frowning with challenge in her tone.
At that moment, Allira wasn't sure what to say. She didn't want to guess. Val was already challenge enough. Verbally assuming anything that came from this woman's mind was like leaping into a snare.
Shaking her head, Val reached for a seat standing near a small dining table and sat down. Every minute that went by made Val feel as if she was getting stronger. That was obviously impossible. She didn't need to see the injuries underneath her bandages to know how badly she was attacked. She shouldn't have been healing this fast or standing at all. She almost wanted to tear off the bandages just to see if they were still there. "I'm still waiting for my question to be answered." Val's tone was critical with needing the truth.
Allira pulled a seat next to her and nearly reached out to touch her again but stopped. She pressed her fingers to her forehead then took in a deep breath. "You're not the same." Okay, that came out stupid. Allira shook her head and continued. "You were attacked by wolves. But not normal ones."
Val looked incredulously at Allira. "They had rabies." Her voice coming off a little high strung.
"No," Allira quickly cleared up. This was not coming out the right way. Then again no matter how she said it, at the end, it would all sound crazy to Val. "Sometimes there are regular wolves, but other times...they are not...regular."
Either Val was reading into her words too literally or she was uneducated in the different species of wolves. At the end of the day, wolves were wolves far as she knew. "Can you just give it to me straight? I'm about as lost as I was in the forest the other night."
"That was actually a couple nights ago." Allira never told her how long she'd been unconscious and now was good as I time as any.
"Umm, okay. Just tell me what the hell is going on." Val voice cranked up to a high pitch, anger hinting slowly in her voice. She hated guessing games.
"There are things in this world that people could never imagine are real. One of them being...werewolves."
She wasn't uneducated nor reading too deeply into Allira's words, Val was simply losing her mind. Her injuries; the bites had to cause her to develop rabies. She was hallucinating. Heavy, rapid breaths stirred in her belly and slowly worked its way up to her chest then throat. She wasn't just panicked or scared, she was petrified. Her mind became distant feeling growls rise inside her. It didn't sound like Val. It sounded close to how she remembered the wolves growling when they attacked her. Val's mind started to go blank and snap into some form of retreat, but warm hands over her face, pulled her back into reality. Back to the house she was in, and back to Allira.
What. The. Fuck. She was losing it.
Val was now knelling on her knees, with Allira knelt beside. Allira's warm, soft hands cupped over her face. Val stared into her eyes feeling lost in them again. But this time more than that. She felt comforted in them-not challenged. Allira's eyes, grass green, and enthralling, softened back at hers. Val's heart sank as she felt Allira's hands tremble then pull away. Val yearned for that touch again. Needed it, like a soft everlasting pillow. That comfort felt safe but Val wouldn't ask for it back. She was losing her grip. Val never gave a woman this much power over her. In a shaky voice she spoke softly. "I don't...I'm confused." Val closed her eyes forcing the tears back then opened them again. "You said werewolves. Were you just using some kind of metaphor for something else, or..."
Lowering her head, Allira looked back up apologetic. "I've never had to explain this before. I'm obviously doing a poor job." She locked her eyes on Val for a second then averted her head. After a few more heartbeats passed Allira spoke again. "You were bitten by werewolves. There is no hidden meaning behind what time telling you."
It wasn't everyday someone heard something as crazy as that. Werewolves didn't exist far as Val knew. Far as the world knew. Far as God knew. Maybe Val was stretching that last part a little but, hell. There definitely had to be a Hell now if there were werewolves. She didn't want to believe a damn thing Allira said but staring into her eyes made Val rethink her outburst. Val was never one to take the word of anyone. Show her proof before you told her anything. Val believed in facts. Evidence. "What does that mean for me?"
How did you tell someone they would become a werewolf themselves in only two night's? It wasn't something you said like telling them they were going to have a baby or even severe as you have cancer. This was foreign to Val. Foreign information to anyone who wasn't aware of this world. Allira moved closer to Val, doing her best not to touch her again. Every time Allira did, heat stirred inside she never felt before. "I'm sure you know enough about the mythology of werewolves. A lot are true and a lot aren't."
"So I'm not going to turn into a hairy beast?" Val thought she should say that knowing that was one thing that always seemed true enough. She wanted to lighten the mood as well.
Allira grinned at Val's sarcasm. "You're taking this a lot better than I expected."
"Don't be fooled. I'm near ready to pull my gorgeous ass out of here. I'm very...scientific when it comes to a lot of things. Show me proof and I'll start to take you serious." Val paused hoping she didn't come off insensitive. "It's just with you; I'd believe anything you say." Tell me that you're a fallen angel, I'd believe that too.
Standing onto her feet she offered Val a hand. Allira shyly turned away when she noticed Val staring at her. Why do you keep looking at me like that? She wanted to know what Val was thinking. Allira was always great at reading others thoughts through their expressions but Val was different. When Allira first met Val, she wasn't sure if Val was flirting with her or being sarcastic but now, letting her wolf's senses take over, she was sure. Val was aroused by her, and Allira's wolf liked it. She wouldn't admit that to her own feelings. Allira would blame it all on her wolf. How long would that last, though?
"Why do you look at me like that?" Why did I ask that? Allira knew why, she just wanted to hear Val say it. Why? She shouldn't care. Besides, that was a dangerous question to ask.
Val shot Allira a dubious look giving her a furtive grin. "Is that a question you really want an answer to?"
"Never mind," Allira said stepping away.
Trying to make an escape for the kitchen Val caught Allira by the hand then quickly let her go. "I'm sorry. I forget myself." She looked down at Allira's arm, remembering the bruise she made earlier. It wasn't there anymore.
"Don't apologize." Allira enjoyed the warmth of Val's hand. She could never have it though. Snap out of it, Allira. Her mind was full of thoughts.
"I look at you...because you are undeniably beautiful." Val stepped closer wanting to brush the hair from Allira's flushed cheek. She heard Allira gasp and realized she did just that. Her fingers grazed her face, brushing away the strand of hair and she slowly slicked it behind her ear.
Allira's body felt overheated, and tense, like being the rope in the middle of a tug-of-war. Allira wasn't sure if she wanted Val's hands off of her or to give in and step closer into Val's touch. This was a woman. She never thought of a woman in any sexual way. But she never thought of a man in that way either. "Val..."
Her eyes ignited gold and she heard Val breath seize up a swirl of air. Her wolf's gold glow pushed its way through her eyes. Allira turned her eyes away rueful to the surprise she had given Val.
Val would not turn away from the gold in Allira's eyes. Val's hand was still on the curve of her jaw and she finally moved her hand away giving Allira distance. "So...are you a werewolf?"
Hearing that question, Allira realized she never actually told Val that. She was also grateful for the change of the conversation and Val moving away, though deep down a little disappointed. It felt too good and Allira didn't think she could remove it herself. "Yes. Maybe I should have said that from the beginning." She smiled amusingly then turned for the kitchen. "There's a whole pack of us."
"Someone from your pack-''
Allira knew right away what Val was going to say. "No. We would never attack a human." Her voice sounded strained so she relaxed and spoke more calmly. "The werewolves who attacked you are not from here. I don't know why they would attack you." Allira thought for a moment with a question in mind. "Why were you out there alone at night?"
"Trust me; I wouldn't have been out there alone and definitely as late as I was." Val made her way to the kitchen leaning her lower back into the counter. "I had a guide. I can't tell you what happened to her. We were talking and she just disappeared."
"What was her name? I know pretty much everyone who works here."
"Pierce. I don't know her last name."
Putting a top over the pot and turning off the stove Allira turned around facing Val. Her brows crinkled, forming into a grim frown. "There's no one by that name working anywhere in Yosemite."
Val's stomach churned as she sighed. "She approached me saying she was my guide and she's been with me every day. Why would she go through all that trouble?"
"You piss off a werewolf lately?"
"If I did...I wouldn't have known." Val glanced at her then chuckled. "I can be crude, but it's not like the nineties; get over it."
Allira chuckled then rolled her eyes. "I wouldn't be surprised at you pissing people off everywhere you turned. You were rude to me."
"Only in the beginning." Val remembered snapping orders at Allira, never acknowledging her. The moment Val heard Allira's voice and scoped her out, that all changed.
You compelled me with your beauty. Val laughed at her own sarcasm. Seeing the confusion on Allira's face she continued. "Point is; I was sweet at the end."
"I wouldn't go that far," she responded. She looked at Val and had the desire to drop her gaze to her lips but just turned away opening a cabinet, taking out two plates. "I made spaghetti."
Nodding, Val pushed off the counter. "You need me to do anything?"
"Oh...no. You're guest and you're still recovering. Go sit at the table."
"As you command."
Allira heard the humor in Val's voice and grinned.
Fixing their plates she walked over placing them on the table, then left coming back with a few glasses of ice tea. "I made sure I didn't put any lemon in it. Do you want a straw and equate sugar?"
Was Allira teasing? Val smirked raising a brow. "No straw needed," she finally said.
They ate in silence for the first few minutes then Val had to ask the questions that wouldn't leave her mind. "I'm a werewolf...aren't I?" That didn't sound real to her as she said it.
"Yes. Two nights from now there will be a full moon. That's when you'll shift."
Hearing all of this and really taking the time to let it sink in, it was overwhelming but she kept her composure. "What does this mean for me? I have a life outside of here."
"You can still live normal?"
"How? I live in LA. You can't turn wolf and no one not notice. I have a career, and my ma. I can feel my moods a lot more aggressive and more unpredictable. How am I going to control anything once I become one?"
"I will teach you." Allira saw the hysteria in Val's eyes. This was becoming real to her. "I will help you with everything."
"I was supposed to leave two days ago!" Val slammed her hand on the table and a loud thump sounded followed by a noticeable vibration. Val cursed at herself. "I'm sorry. I just...don't understand myself anymore. I shouldn't have done that. You've been really kind."
"It's okay." Allira was about to reach in for her hand but repositioned herself instead. "You're taking this like anyone would. Hell, a lot better. I thought you'd run out of here a long time ago."
"I wouldn't know where to run and didn't think it was a good idea with those wolves out there." Val smiled lightly than made an exaggerative sigh. "You've made this...easier to hear."
Allira nodded taking their plates from the table.
"Thank you." Val said.
Putting the dishes into the sink and rinsing them off, Allira smiled. This woman was getting under her skin, on top, hitting her in every place she could think of. Val excited her. Turning off the water Allira padded her hands on a tile hung over the sink than spun around with Val only inches from her. Allira's body jolted in surprise being slowly replaced by a surge of warmth and desire. She tensed and went rigid trying hard to control her breathing. Allira's wolf growled, scratching underneath for this woman. She needed to get a grip. Her eyes anchored up to Val's, watching her mouth quirk. Allira could feel her panties dampen, wetness slicking between her thighs. This was not normal.
She's a woman, Allira reminded herself. And I'm straight.
Val could see the heat in Allira's eyes burning like a campfire. "You are dangerously gorgeous." Val whispered in a husky voice sending shivers down her spine. It was like something inside her pulling to get closer to Allira. She was bold but this was pushing past Val's normal boldness.
Allira's body felt a wave of chills slide down her back and she almost gasped. This woman was only looking at her and she wanted to explode. Explode like fire bursting through a door. Like a bottle of soda being shaken then opened quickly after, spurting out. She felt her clit throb, stomach tightening, and her breathing quicken. "We can't..." We can't...what?
Allira was ignorant to her own answer. She didn't know what else to say. Allira bit on her bottom lip forcing herself to still. Why wasn't her wolf fighting against Val's hold? Both her and her wolf could ignore, with pleasure, every single attempt anyone tried to make in arousing her. Jack mainly.
Val stared at Allira with a questioning expression then brushed her fingers over her cheekbone resting the palm of her hand over her jaw line. "We can't...what?"
They were so close that they shared the same air, and slowly Val put her other hand down at Allira's waist leaning her against the sink. Val glided her feather soft fingertips over her lips and Allira moaned in pleasure, wanting to suck on them.
Don't suck on them. Allira's consciousness was on a rollercoaster, holding in her impulse to give in.
Val was absorbed in the vulnerability of Allira's eyes. She loved what a simple touch did to Allira and that sent a surge of heat between her thighs that melted her from the inside out. These feelings Val was developing for Allira were hard to ignore.
Allira lost all control. She wanted her lips pressed against Val's. To feel the soft thin cushion of Val's lips against her neck and breast. Allira gripped Val's shoulders and before they could take it any further a loud knock came from the door making Val jump a few steps back.
Allira looked perplexed by her own actions and had to catch her breath. She turned leaning over in the sink, quickly turning on the cold water, scooping her hands into it to make a small pool. She splashed water on her face as another knock pounded against her door.
"Are you going to open it? Damn it, Allira."
Turning back around she looked at Val, with a, this can't happen again, expression on her face before calling out. "I'm coming."
Val stepped to the side, heading into the bathroom. She needed her control back and cold water splashed against her skin would do it. More like a cold shower.
Opening the door, Allira put on a fake smile stepping aside for Jack to walk through. She anticipated him to sense what was going on but he didn't say anything that regarded the tension in her home. "What are you doing here?"
"The Alpha wanted me to check on you and the woman." Jack observed her suspiciously than looked around. "Where is she?"
Val stepped out the bathroom just in time. Val took a quick glance at Allira without an expression than over to Jack with a bemused glare.
In the last ten seconds Jack most have felt Val's tension and he straightened his stance as if that would make her falter below him. There was no chance of that happening but he didn't know it. "Has Allira told you everything you needed to know?" he said that as if there were some things she wasn't able to know.
Val didn't bother answering his question and grabbed her ice tea finishing it off with two gulps. She most have annoyed or belittled him because she heard a growl erupt from him. She didn't care. She did this all the time; especially to pompous jerks who thought because she was a woman she should back down.
"She has no respect," he said looking over to Allira. "Teach her what it means to be a Were. A female Were." He leaned down closer to Allira not dropping his voice too low but enough for only her to hear. "If she survives the shift she will have to know how things work."
Taking a step back, Allira snarled at his implication. He meant to say if Val shifted rogue, Allira would have no choice but to kill her. Allira's chest felt as if it was being punched in with the thought of any harm coming towards Val. "Jack, please go."
Jack tried to brush his fingers over her face but she turned her face away and he stopped mid-air. "You mean a lot to me. You need to start preparing for the future. We-''
"Please don't. Just...go."
After a minute, once they were alone again, Val stood up from the chair. She was irritated and needed to sleep or leave. "I'm pretty tired."
Caught off guard by the frustration in Val's voice, Allira blinked a few times walking toward her. "You can take my room."
"No, I'll just sleep out here." Val didn't bother looking Allira's way. She had a connection to her that was definite. But it was clear Allira was either not interested or ashamed to even consider it. No, she was interested. Either way, there was no point in acting on it. She didn't know her and shouldn't have cared. She would sleep here tonight and leave in the morning. She always avoided complicated relationships.
Allira was baffled by how quickly Val dismissed her and shrugged it off. If Val could be nasty so could she. "I'll be back." She walked passed her further down the hall to a closet door pulling out a blanket and pillow. She strode back, her feet feeling heavy and handed it to Val. "Goodnight," she said with a growl.
Val didn't respond. She didn't even look at her. Skirting around the sofa she stretched herself across the sofa, face bent into a malice frown and sighed. Allira turned off the lights and head into her room and Val rolled her eyes. When Allira slammed her door; a bit too harsh, Val smirked. "Was that supposed to affect me?" she murmured plumping onto the couch.
Val lay wide awake letting the minutes pass her by like she was in a time machine when she finally gave into sleep.
