••Rin's pov••

(Earlier)

I should check on Zero and Asuna, walking toward Zero's room to find him pointing his bloody rose at Asuna's head on the floor. i was thinking of going in but i should just listen for now, "Zero you need help and i am here to help you." Asuna said in a cheery voice slapping the gun off of her face and taking her tie off i presume, "what will Zero do next?" I commentated to myself quietly. "No please Asuna I don't want to hurt you." Zero said rejecting the offer from Asuna who kindly offered. "You will if you don't drink my blood." She continued. "No Asuna please you need to understand tha-" Zero said but not being able to continue his sentence as Asuan cuts him off. Well Zero you just pissed off Asuna and you also just miss you chance of surviving your blood thirst. "You're the that doesn't understand you are pushing away the people that wants to help you. You're so stubborn." Asuna said pissed off walking towards the door I could hear her create something and then the scent of her blood lingered for a second and disappeared quickly. "Here you stubborn child." She said placing something down. Hearing her open the door I quickly went to the room next to Zero's and waited there for a little bit so that she doesn't see me listening to their conversation. Hearing her slam the door I could hear her sniff a little, "did she really want to help that bad." I said to myself as i got out of the room.

Opening Zero's room i could see him suffering so much that he is growing paler. "You know you should have taken her offer so that you won't suffer like this." Sitting on the table next to the ice bottle with blood on it. "You know I can't do that." He panted as he spoke, "Why not because she is a pureblood vampire and you don't want a vampire to help you. Wow Zero you know she is different from the rest of the purebloods." Laughing angrily. "It's not like that." He shouted at me. Disappearing and reappearing in front of him with my knife out aiming for his neck our weapons colliding together blocking my attack with his bloody rose, i ask "Then what?". "I don't want to hurt her I don't want to lose control of myself, I don't want to suck her blood dry. If i start to drink her blood I don't think i will be able to stop." Bowing his head his hair covering his eye. "You're such a coward. Do you think that is going to hurt her. Do you know what hurt most when a friend she cares about is in pain and she can't help." I said pushing my knife closer to his neck but continued to fight me with his gun. "No." He whispered. Releasing my knife i stood in front of him looking at him mad as he continued to bow his head. "Why are you so angry at me I didn't do anything to you?" Zero ask. "Because i care about you and her, I don't want to see my friends get hurt...that was the first time she cried in ten years and the first was when she was in the Kurans manor. Why did i even let her come to this school when she is only going to get hurt. I'm such a fool." I sighed whispering to myself. Walking over to the table i throw my knife at his shoulder making him scream in agony. Panting harder his eyes glowed the colour of blood. "Ha.. ha.. Rin why would you do that I thought... you cared." He managed to speak out. "Yeah i do." grabbing the ice bottle i threw it at him,"you're lucky that that was not one of my knife it would do more than that. Don't take this personally but i just really don't want to see my friends get hurt." "Then why did you throw a knife at me?" Holding his shoulder. "That's how i show that i care.. No just kidding cause i know that you won't drink that." Smirking Going out the door and closed it.

••Zero's pov••

"What have I done to deserve this? I only didn't want Asuna to get hurt. I guess i really am a coward. Arggh.argg. Why have you cursed me? It's not like i wanted to be like this. I wish I wasn't like this but if I wasn't like this than I wouldn't have meet Asuna. What am I gonna to do". I questioned myself .

Feeling something cold on my hands the ice bottle that Asuna made before she left. Opening it the smell of her blood is so strong yet so sweet making me go mad, I couldn't hold on any longer. After drinking the it, it felt like i didn't have an attack i felt stronger and more energetic from it. The ice bottle quickly melting. Standing up from the floor i when to take a shower to rinse myself off. "I should go apologies to Asuna. Hah." Sighing a long sigh.
