Chapter 42

•• Ruri's Pov ••

My eyes started to water as I watched from the branch finally seeing my long lost brother. "Kaito?" I reached my hand out towards him but came a little blondie tackling him with a hug. I was shocked by the action of that little shrimp but continued to watch on. Is it really him? I mean he has grown up into such a handsome man, he look just like father. 

Pain struck my heart as that horrid news replayed in my head.

Flashbacks

"Ruri your parents... They are dead." My headmaster said her voice was filled with pure sympathy and sadness. I fell to my knees, dumbfounded. "What? H-h-ow? No, please tell me this is just one of your jokes." I laughed awkwardly. I have never seen her this serious before, this caused me more to believe that they are dead. My head dropped down covering my watering eyes, "who was the killer? Were you informed about that?" I asked my voice gloomy and mad.

I feel her flinched from her chair and started to become nervous. "That is something that i-i don't k-know." Amillia's voice was shaky and not proper. I stood up and walked up to the door. "I'm going home."

~ Flashback Fin ~

After that i flew back to Japan in a hurry to find that it was all true. My family fell apart the once perfect and happy family was no longer happy it didn't even exist anymore. When i got back Kaito was not there anymore. The head butler said that Kaito did not return one morning after the incident. The wealth of the family was split in between both Kaito and i. Everyone that worked in the manor was moved to some other family.

Enough of the past this is not the time to recall such grief. I focused on the face of the said boy, "if he was at this age would he look like that?" I asked myself. I tried to move closer but something prevented me from getting close. A dagger was thrown at me with such high speed that i nearly didn't see it. I narrowed my eyes to look for the person with such skills, my eyes met a ferocious ones. His cold eyes send shivers down my spine causing me to coward away.

Memories of my past suddenly flashed in my head, I clenched my fist trying to get rid of it.

"D-don't blam...e yourself Kai-kai we knew... This was goin..." The voice of my dying mother sounded in my ears as she forcefully caressed my cheeks with her blooded hand. "No mother what have I done? No i-i-i can still heal you. P-please take my blood." I said in desperation as i loosen my shirt for her to access my neck. (Access?) She held onto my hand with the strength she has left and gave me her ever so bright smile. Then her hand fell and her eyes was shot as tears rolled down both her eyes.

"Kaito?!" The sound of her adorable voice brought me back to the present. I looked at her and said "I'm sorry what were you saying?" I asked scratching the back of my head. She pouted her mouth and shook her head leaving it alone. I awkwardly laughed and pulled her close to me as i feel a weird a presence. I looked for the source sharply but did not see anything.

But what i saw beside me was a blushing Alice, this caused me to hugged her tightly. "You are so adorable." I squealed hugging her tightly. "Stopped it love birds your giving us an awkward vibe." Rin said. I stuck my tongue out at her and pulled Alice to me once again.

After walking around the area an idea popped up in my head like a light bulb. "Guys i have an idea. What about on our last day of stay we should perform? We haven't perform in a long time so maybe now would be a good time." I suggested. I see everyone nodding their had in agreement. "Rise your hand if you agree." Obviously Rin and them did but the Shio brothers gave each other weird looks.
