10:07 A.M.

We were currently working on our own in English, as the teacher wanted us to answer a few questions based on a packet he handed to us. The class was completely silent, which I was grateful for because I'm not able to concentrate in noisy environments. Suddenly, a little boy, who was probably in the seventh grade, walked into the class with a few detention slips and pink and blue passes. He handed the teacher a pink pass. A few of the girls 'awed' at the little boy as he walked out. I rolled my eyes.

"Mia," The teacher called out. I looked up at him. He indicated that the pass was for me and I sighed internally.

What the hell do they want from me? I thought. I got up to get the pass and walked out of the room. I looked down at where I had to go, the attendance office. My mind wanders as I walk through the hallway. I passed the one from where my first dream about Nathan took place, causing chills to go down my spine. I ignored it. I need to stop crushing on him. I just need to stop. I stopped walking before blinking a few times, then continuing on down the stairs. What I saw did and didn't please me.

Nathan was on hall duty this period. He was sat in a desk in front of the library. I guess he was keeping students from going in there as well, because in front of the doors was a huge 'STOP' sign. I guess AP's were taking place at the moment. Nathan was reading a magazine. Afraid that he'd see me, I tried as best as I could to sneak past him. Luckily, he didn't see me, but I kind of hoped he did at the same time.

Now I know not to come this way when walking back to class. I walk into the attendance office, suddenly feeling heavy-hearted. I ignore my feelings once again. I go up to the woman at the desk, and she takes my pass. I wait and look around the office as she flips through pages in her book.

"Mia, you're marked absent from seventh period yesterday." She stated.

Teachers are so irresponsible sometimes. They lose your damn work, they forget the simplest things and then they go and fucking mark you absent from attendance. Don't they check twice before sending it down?! I swear, I'm done with this damn school.

"Oh..." I trail off. What class was I in? Oh, right. "Gym? Yeah, I was there..." I say awkwardly. She nods her head and tells me that I'd have to find the teacher for her to sign the slip that she gave me. The slip will prove that I was really marked absent instead of me cutting class.

I sighed. I'm missing half of the work in class by doing this. Now I'm going to get even more homework.
