Chapter 18~

This chapter is dedicated to Kitty!! 

I walk into the kitchen and see Matty and Aaron break apart, their faces bright red and looking at the ground. "Don't stop on my account guys" I laugh and get a bottle of water and Aaron looks at me. "Hey, you okay?" he says narrowing his eyes at me, "Just had a weird day dream is all" I smile at him and ruffle his hair, "You two can continue now" I grin and walk back to the sofa. Connor smiles at me, I smile back and sit next to him. I must have heard him whisper something because I was daydreaming, that's all. I push these thoughts to the back of my mind and try something I haven't done in quite a while. Talk to it. When I was a kid I used to talk to the voice a lot, however once I noticed other kids couldn't do it, I hid it and then eventually stopped talking to it. I still heard it from time to time, it helped me a lot, for that i'm thankful but I always thought that it was my conscience.

"Hey..." I try talking in my head, i'm a bit wary of it and I bet to whoever it is I sound like a complete idiot. I wait for a while but then hear the voice "Hey Ellie" the voice sounds happy, but I can't shake how it sounds so similar to Connors. I glance at Connor to see he's still watching me and I smile at him before resting my head in his lap and closing my eyes. His hand begins to stroke my head and I open one eye to see that he's also closed his eyes, I close mine again and talk to that voice.
"I haven't talked to you in a while, I apologise for that" I say to him awkwardly, I hear him laugh and the noise makes me smile. "Don't worry about it Ell, I get why you did but hey I was still able to look out for you, not as much as I'd hoped but hey.." I take in what the voice said and thank him again. "So i've been wondering...What's your name?" I ask and am met with silence for quite a while before I hear a sigh and he begins to talk. "I'm not sure if I should tell you that.." I think about it for a few seconds and just decide to blurt it out. "Connor?..." Again met with silence. "Yes Ellie?" As soon as I hear him reply my eyes snap open to find Connors warm hazel ones already looking down at me. I gasp and continue to stare at him before sitting up and climbing into his lap, I cup his face and stare into his eyes. The eyes I love, they eyes i've known for so long and then he speaks. "Hey Ell" he smiles and a few tears run down my face, he wipes them away and shushes me. His voice, this voice has helped me so much and it's his. "Hey Connor" I reply to him from earlier and he kisses me gently, I relax into him and kiss back.

When we eventually pull away from the sweet kiss we hear someone clear their throat, I turn to see Aaron, Matty and Zack staring at us. "Explain?" Aaron says pointing to us, "We're kissing" Connor laughs. "No, I mean the reason she bolted up and then cried and then you kissed" he says raising an eyebrow at us. I explain how I used to hear a voice and it turned out to be Connor's voice. They stare at us in shock and disbelief until Matty says prove it. "Okay, tell me a secret only you know and then Connor will repeat it" I suggest and he nods. He whispers something about a dream he had last night that he hadn't told anyone about and then I tell Connor through my mind and he says it outloud.
I hear a lot of woahs and get a few stares until it finally settles in and then they all shrug. "That's pretty awesome, but you're still the Ellie and Connor we know, so it's fine with me" Aaron grins and I smile at him. "Thanks" "No problem" "Same here" Zach and Matty smile at me.
"Like you could get rid of us anyways" Connor bursts out laughing and hugs me close, "So I guess you two are a couple now?" Zach smiles and I am about to say no but Connor gets there first. "Of course we are" he smirks, I look up at him and he smiles down at me, "Smile, Idiot. I love you" I smile up at him. "I'm not letting you go again" he smiles and I blush before hiding my face in his chest because of everyone's teasing. I receive texts from Craig and Char congratulating me so i'm guessing those guys told them.

I seriously love the people around me.
