Seriously addicted to caffeine, I am only one of the 83% of adult Americans who cannot imagine starting the morning without a cup of coffee. Iced or steaming hot, it doesn't matter as long as I have that first cup. Why? It helps me wake up, shake the early fog and get in gear. I associate the aroma with happiness. An avid coffee drinker for decades, I have no intention of going one morning without it.
Over time, the studies have come out...lately I keep reading that coffee might actually even be good for us. It never mattered. It was a constant through different phases of life from a student to working employee. Coffee drinking as a morning pleasure was here to stay.
It occurred to me that I would do anything (or just about) to make sure I had the morning cup. Then I thought, "what if I used my coffee habit to create new, positive behaviors in my life." What if I linked two behaviors together? Could that even work and if so, what would it look like? It did work and it was so simple that I couldn't believe that I didn't try it earlier.
Use your coffee habit to create other positive habits, simply and quickly. It works.
