Chapter 6:

Roses POV

"We need to talk." I spoke very seriously

"About what? Your new fans?"

"Luke, you never act this way. What's wrong?".

"I was at your house this morning when your dad said you weren't going to be at school for a while, just because of some stupid training."

"Luke its not like that. I have to be able to protect my pack. I'm pretty sure he wants you there too so you can learn how to run the pack. You will be the alpha of this pack, as of my birthday."

"Yeah I know. Just still. What if he doesn't."

"Luke don't be ridiculous. Of course he will. And if not, I won't go." I gave him a bright smile.

"Oh, Rosie, you know how to win my heart every time don't you."

"Every time." Then he had my face in the palms of my hands and was giving me a passionate kiss. We stood up together, and quickly realized we only have five minutes to get to class. I gave him a quick peck on the cheek then headed off to my locker, put my things away, and left for class. I got to class and we had a sub.

"Do what you want, I'm making this a free period." He spoke softly and gently. He looked familiar, like one of my dads friends. Suddenly his phone went off in his pocket, one of those annoying nokia ring tones. He looked around to make sure no one was paying attention to him, then answered. Everyone in the classroom was either on their iPods or on their phones, but there were actually studying, because we had finals in like two weeks.

"Sir, why did you let her leave, she was suppose to die remember, that was the deal......I know that the bot makes things complicated.....Well your other daughter wasn't suppose to even be born remember, you were supposed to have your oldest die then the pack would be given over to my son.....I know that things change....But.....I understand....My son will just have to kill off your daughters mate.....there's no other way....it has to be done........well then my son will marry your daughter and they will be alphas together.....yes sir....just tell me when hes alone....my assassins will take care of him." Then he hung up the phone. Who was he talking to? It couldn't have been my dad, because my dad missed Camie just as much as I did? Or did he? Maybe Luke was right. Maybe he is hiding something.

Camie’s POV

School. The thing I dreaded most. At least Blake would be there to drop me off, and pick me up. I only had to deal with all my old pack mates, and my sister, and her mate, which would soon be the alpha of the River pack. Well time for everything to start. I was sitting in the car in the parking lot, watching everyone gather around Rose's new car, as Blake gave a low growl.

"Don't worry. I don't like her much now either. But please, babe, for me. Try controlling yourself."

"Yes, I will try, but i can't guarantee anything." With that I gave him a quick kiss said good-bye then left for class. Good thing I had no classes with Rose, only lunch. I put my things in my locker, which was next to Rose's then quickly, before she could come find me, left for class. I walked in and the teacher was still setting up for class.

"Oh, Cam, you're here early. Can you help me out please?" The teacher gave me the puppy eyes, and I couldn't say no, so I nodded my head, and she gave me a few things to do. Class had started and it was nothing important. Just reading this book for class with a few questions on the chapter. I slept most of the hour. Then, next thing I knew it was time for lunch, and Blake was texting me.

'babe, how is skool so far.'

'good, hows pack life'

'eh, need help bt good ig'

'well ill help tonight'

'ok :)'

'lol'

'i gotta surprise 4 u tonight'

'o rly'

'yep'

'OK, u ain't gonna tell me r u'

'nope'

'w.e ill see you tonight after skool :* love u gtg class'

I quickly put my phone away and walked to my locker to get my things for my remaining classes. As i was walking away from my locker, 'she' came up to me.

"Hey Cam."

"Hi rose." this was going to be an interesting conversation.
