Chapter 12:

ROSE

This had to be a lie. I wouldn't kill my own father. Not for anything, no reason, ever. Just never. Camie stood before me with tears in her eyes.

"Camie, please come with me" Blake said pulling me from the room. My sister was telling me lies. She was just upset at me for something. She did this far too often. I still sat in silence as a nurse came in, bowed her head at me and went on.

"Mrs. Why did you do that?" I questioned her, now slightly disturbed.

"Because your Luna's sister, a Luna yourself. You are respected. Do you not wish for me to do that?"

"I am no Luna!"

"But Mrs. I was in the room when you told your sister you killed your father. Did you lie?"

"I...I said that?" tears were filling my eyes. "Where is Lucas?"

"He's next door. He's still out but I can try to wake him if you wish."

"Please. And bring me to him." She helped me into a wheelchair, because I couldn't walk yet. She wheeled me over to Luke's room and began to talk in his ear while tapping his hand. His eyes were moving but not opening.

"Why isn't he waking up?"

"His bodies in shock from the damage. His left leg has a torn muscle, his ankle is sprained and he has lost a large amount of blood from bite wounds in his leg."

"Do we know who hurt him?"

"Alpha said he scared away the attacker and quickly got him here." As she finished speaking, Luke opened his eyes slowly, fluttering them as he adjusted to the light.

"Luke!" I shouted to him and squeezed his hand from next to the bed.

"Rose?" he said hoarsely. "Is it you?"

"Yes love it's me" I said crying like rivers were pouring from my eyes.

"I'll give you two some time" the nurse said excusing herself from the room.

"Luke. Do you know what's going on?"

"Like what?" he said as he sat up getting a drink of water.

"That were in Mountain Pack. That were Alpha and Luna back home in River Pack."

"Yeah. Why? Did you have a concussion?"

"As in what?"

"Rose. I'm worried. What don't you remember?"

"I don't know. Apparently I'm a Luna. You're an Alpha and right now were in Mountain Pack."

"Rose. We went home one day from school to see your dad talking to the Alpha from the Blood Moon Pack about sending your sister away to wed their Alpha. You got furious and crushed his skull. We then got the Alpha and Luna titles. We left early this morning to come and tell your sister the news. When we got to the border Lauren found her mate. She's who we chose as our Beta. We came here and Camie and Blake showed us around and we were attacked."

"Now we're here" I said almost in a whisper.

"Rose are you gonna be okay?"

"No. I'm just ... just surprised that it all really happened."
