Chapter 10 Never look back

The SkyWings were menacing and Iris could do nothing about it. She felt like she was a coward she wanted to go out into the battlefield and fight, that is the type of dragon she was. She almost ran out there but the eyes of the scarlet red SkyWing warned her to stay away, it was almost like the SkyWing was forced to kill, she was not doing it for fun....Iris could see it in her eyes like she was about to kill your soul but it only brings sadness to a dragons soul, Iris decided she was going to find a way to stop this from hurting her emotions. She looked away not wanted to see the sad SkyWings eyes, she finally looked back to see the SkyWing was running towards her with fire building up in her throat, Iris screamed. She saw that the SkyWing was fighting back tears but soon they came running her scale. Before Iris could jump to the side fire burned her tale like paper. Iris screamed in fear thinking it was the end, but something told her it wasn't, she looked up to see the SkyWing on the ground crying with Storm in front of Iris with his wing opened in front of her. Iris had tears running down her face, she looked down at her tale and knew that she had no tale anymore, she looked at the SkyWing with fear and she looked at the battlefield. Then she noticed....her sister was in the corner with scratches and trails of blood running down her body she looked like she was about to pass out when a huge SkyWing landed at the door with bloody claws. Golds head shock up and she turned the color of the stone walls and hid her NightWing under wings. And the SkyWing looked at Iris right away with looking for her sister Gold. Iris's scales turned white in fear, she had never fought a SkyWing before, she had grown up in the ShadowWing kingdom. Iris didn't want to spit venom but she did and the SkyWing screamed with the venom spreading all over his body, the SkyWing was flying off. "Why did you do that......." The SkyWing said still on the ground with tears running down her face she looked like she was ready for a SandWing to kill her then and there. But Iris just stared at her with fear in her eyes without looking away Iris pushed Storm out of the way and she crawled over to the SkyWing. The SkyWing put her wing on Iris's burned tail and she put other wing around Iris letting Iris to lean into her warm body so Iris could stay warm in the cold cave.
