I decided to take Onyx's advice. I was going to ask Braydon Donahue to the homecoming dance. I told Jordan, and he said I should go for it. So, I made a big plan on how to ask. Then I decided that it was too complicated. Instead, I was just going to straight out say,'Will you go to homecoming with me?'.

When the lunch bell rang, I walked over to Braydon's locker, where he was standing. I tapped his shoulder. He turned around and and said, "Hey, you're the girl I ran into the other day. The football girl."
"Yeah, um I was wondering, would you like to go to the homecoming dance with me?"
"Sure. But, I don't know your name."
"Yeah, uh, it's Sapphire, but my friends call me Fire,"
"Fire, cool. What's your number? I'll text you sometime."
We exchanged numbers, and I ran to the bench for lunch. I declared very loudly that I had a date for the dance. Then I laughed at the guys who didn't have a date.

On the way home, I told Amethyst. She was very proud. She talked about the dress she was going to pick for me and how she was going to do my makeup. But, I was too good a mood to get annoyed.

We got home, and I yelled that Braydon said yes. Mom ran down the stairs and gave me a hug. My dad said, " Good for you," , and Onyx said I told you so. He didn't actually say that, but I saw it in his eyes. Jasper wasn't very excited because he's never had a crush before and he didn't understand how good this felt. Whatever, I was happy.
