It was spirit week for homecoming. The theme is Out Of This World. The dress up days are astronaut, starry sky, martian, planets, and Teal and Black day. My friends are already planning their costumes. We really get into spirit week. My sister, on the other hand, does not. She says it's not cool to dress up to support our teams. I put that in my own words, but you get the point.
Amethyst hated dressing up in costumes since forever. She never even dressed like a princess like all other little girls. She wasn't going to dress up this week until she heard Jeremy sat he wanted to match her for spirit week. She all of a sudden got really excited. She planned out all of her outfits for the week. She has to borrow a school shirt from me for Teal and Black day because she doesn't own any school merchandise.
All week was super exciting. The varsity football was getting kind of nervous, but I know we can win. The art classes made posters and put them all over the school. Students also got excited for floats and the parade. The sophomores decided to make our float an alien in a football jersey kicking an asteroid into the sun. On the asteroid we are going to put a snake. That's the other team's mascot. It was coming together really well.
We did the parade and the junior's float won, but we got second. We played the game against the serpents, and it was really close. The score was forty to thirty-eight. We won! After waiting for forever, the dance was finally tomorrow! Braydon texted me a picture of his tux. Let's just say he looked very attractive. My best friend Jordan is taking a girl in his chemistry class named Olivia. I went shopping with him to find his suit. The only one we both liked was a little big on him, so let's hope he remembers a belt.
Onyx gave me some tips on what to say to him and what to do and stuff, but I think I've got this. He's going back to school Monday, so he volunteered to chaperone the dance. The principal approved, so that's going to be cool. He's also hoping to drive me, Braydon, Jordan, and Olivia to the dance and back. Homecoming's going to be great.
