Chapter 1

Maine Mendoza~

"Sister?" I knocked at her door. She seems to be sleeping. I opened her door and she's awake. She is giggling while looking at her laptop so I asked why.

"I have my ideal boyfriend now!" She said and let me look at her laptop. Ideal boyfriend, eh?

"Who is he? Where is he from? Do you know him that well?" I asked.

"Calm down, sister. He was just recommended by my friend!" Louise said while smiling. "His name is Alden Richards. He is from Philippines and uh yeah, I don't know him that well. But we will meet up tomorrow. Don't worry too much."

Yeah, right. Ever since Louise broke up with her ex, she looked for an ideal boyfriend. Yeah, she's that romantic. Or weird. "Okay, do I get to know him as well?" I asked. I don't have an interest for that guy, I'm just making excuses to guard Louise.

"No, because I'll get him in 5 minutes," she said then winked. She pushed me outside and suddenly closed the door. What a naughty sister. I went to my room and slept.

It's Sunday. I took a bath and ate my breakfast, and brushed my teeth. I curled my hair and went out with a white t-shirt and a flowery skirt while wearing flats to buy my things on my on-going project. I rode a taxi and stopped in the mall. I handed a 100-peso bill to the driver and said thank you to him. I was walking to National Book Store (c) and then bumped into a guy. "Sorry miss," the guy said.

My checklist fell and I was attempting to get it while suddenly he attempted to get it as well. We looked at each other and-- he's my sister's ideal boyfriend! We stared at each other for like 15 seconds or so. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm okay," I said then smiled. He smiled as well. He seems to be a nice guy. "Maine," I offered my hand and he immediately took it. "Alden."

"Nice to meet you," we both said at the same time. We smiled at each other. "See you around again, Maine. I'm glad I met you. May I have your phone number? So we can talk to each other again," He asked.

"Yeah, sure," then I took out a paper and wrote my phone number in it.

"See you around, Maine. And again, I'm very glad I met you," alden smiled. Then he immediately turned his back and whispered something but I still heard it. "You've changed my life."

Louise Delos Reyes (Louise Mendoza)~

I saw him at the glass door. He's very handsome! Then he bumped into a girl with a curled hair. They tried to get the checklist and stared at each other for a long time. Oh no! He's mine! I can't see the girl's face because Alden's body is covering her up. He is so tall. Not so taller than the girl, well maybe about 3" higher. So I can't see her face. Then I saw the girl handling a paper to him and he accepted it. He turned his back to the girl and whispered something. It was my chance to see the girl's face but she turned her back as well and went somewhere. And oh. My. Goodness. He's coming towards me!

Closer!
Even more closer!
Then he sat at a bench without even looking at me.

"Uh, hi?" I greeted him. "Did you come here to see someone?"

"Yeah, her name is Louise," he said without even bothering to look at me.

"Uh, that's me?" I said nervously. This won't take any longer than 5 minutes, trust me.

"I know," he knows?

"Then why didn't you even notice me?" I asked, shaking.

"Don't ask a lot of questions," his smile reached his ears lately when he met the girl, and now, why isn't he even noticing me or smiling at me? "I don't like you at all. Julie ann said I'm going to like you but then, she failed."

"I don't like you at all."
"I don't like you at all."
"I don't like you at all."
That hurts a lot. It keeps running on my mind.

"Is it because of the girl lately?" I asked.

"I said no more questions," he said coldly. "But to be honest, yeah. She's the one for my heart."

I tried not to cry but I failed. I ran away. Don't worry Alden, I will try hard to get your heart from the girl.
