Maine Mendoza~

I woke up and saw myself sleeping at the couch. How on Earth did I get in here? I can't remember anything. I saw Mom smiling at me and said, "Maine, was it fun to sleep on his arms?"

His arms? His? "What do you mean, his?" Mom winked and continued to cook our breakfast. I got my things for school and got ready. "Won't you eat food?"

I shaked my head. "Not hungry, Mom. Maybe I'll eat a lot this lunch." I said and smiled. I went out our backyard and saw a black car. It opened its windows and the person I saw wasn't expected.

"Go in," Alden said. He's wearing our normal uniform, except for the shades though.

I raised my brows. I really didn't expect him to come. "I prefer to ride a jeep-"

He got out of his car and opened the door. To tease him, I got in the passenger's seat. He raised his brows as well. "What? Is that what you want my future to be? A driver?" No choice, I had to seat beside the driver's seat.

We stopped at the school (of course). I bought chips from the vending machine. "Didn't you eat breakfast?" Alden asked.

"Why do you care?" I opened the bag of chips and ate one.

"Why are you so cold?" He asked.

"Answer my question first."

"Do you have it?"

"It?"

"It!"

My eyes were bigger when I realized what he said. "Hey!" I hit him. "I don't have it. I've just had it last week!" I suddenly touched my head. My head really hurts.

Alden's face were changed into a concerned face. His hands touched my neck. "You're so hot!"

My eyes were even larger. "Alden!"

"Your temperature is hot. Okay?" Don't tell me I have a fever. "Let's bring you to the doctor."

Third Person~

Maine and Alden went to the clinic. The doctor asked, "what are you feeling, Ma'am?"

Alden answered her question. "She had a headache."

"Sir," the doctor replied. "I can say that your girlfriend can not attend classes for now."

Alden slightly smiled when he heard the word 'girlfriend'. "Do I need to bring her home?"

"Yes, sir," the doctor answered greatfully. "By the way, you guys look perfect for each other."

Alden smiled. "We are, doc. Thank you for your assistance."

Maine didn't hear any of their conversation because she was asleep. Alden brought her home and stayed with her.

"Alden, son," Maine's father greeted him, emphasizing the word 'son'. "I think both of you could stay in a condo for now because Louise doesn't wanna see you for these days. I mean, Alden, stay with her in the condo."

Alden's eyes widened. "Y-yes sir!" He shaked. Maine's father gave him Maine's things.

"I know I can trust you," Maine's father smiled. "Take care of her, and I told you, don't call me sir, call me dad."

They didn't know Louise was watching them. She was thankful because her father did everything she wants- and that is Maine to leave. "Okay, Dad," Alden smiled. He went back to his car and put the bags at the compartment. He put Maine at the passenger's seat so she can lie. Everything in Alden's mind was where would they live? How would they live? Alden's parents immediately died because of cancer (dad) and heart attack (mom) so he could go anywhere he wants. He could live with Maine.

After the long traveling, he finally found a condo to live in. He arranged their things. They have only one bedroom but two beds. Yep, the bed is just for one person so there are two beds. But those beds are only in one room.

Alden was tired after arranging all of those things. When he was about to go to their bedroom, Alden saw Maine's face and froze.

Alden quickly smiled like he was never tired.
