Chapter 4

A/N Di ko po naexpect na mababasa ito ng marami. Napapangiti niyo po ako kapag nakikita ko sa mga notifications ko na inilalagay niyo itong storyang ito sa mga reading lists niyo. Maine Mendoza~

We ate lunch together. I ordered salad while Alden ordered a spaghetti. We were talking and laughing. A girl, or Louise, approached to us and said, "Can I sit with you, Alden?"

Alden looked at me. I knew that look. He wanted me to answer that question for him. "Okay."

"I want Alden to answer me," Louise said then rolled her eyes. How are you, sistership?

Alden smirked. "What Maine wants, then I would too."

Louise then sat down with us. She ordered 2 slices of pizza. As I was eating, I looked at Alden and he pointed a fork with pasta in it. I knew what he wanted to do. He wanted me to 'subo' that and he wants me to 'subuan' him. I ate the pasta and he ate the salad. Louise looked at us then whispered, "Corny." And yeah, I have those very good ears. I can even hear a 'hi' from an ant. Just joking.

Louise tried to 'subuan' Alden too and Alden noticed that. He didn't bother to eat the pizza, though. I ate my last spoon of salad. I swallowed it when Alden held the tissue and wiped my lips. I felt the 'kilig' thingy and smiled.

I went home safely because Alden brought me home with his car. I said a 'thank you' to him and he smiled. He kissed my forehead and said, "Thank you for everything." He rode the car and drove away. I felt the 'kilig' thingy again. I went in and saw my father. "Hey Dad!" I greeted him and kissed him at his forehead. I'm really happy today.

I was about to go upstairs when Mom suddenly popped out of nowhere. "That is a really great choice, Maine! You look oerfect together. Your destiny is forever. If he is finally your boyfriend, that's a big check for me!" Then she hugged me. Boyfriend, eh? So close yet so far.

Louise went in with bad mood. Hoping it wasn't because of lately. As she was walking, she said "What a sister, trying to steal the boy of my heart."

It is of course, as I have guessed, because of me. Since Alden and I met, Louise and I almost never talked to each other. A person knocked at the door so I opened it. "Hello Maine!" Guess who?

"Hello Patricia!" (A/N I bet 90% of the readers thought it was Alden >:))

"I came here to, you know, greet you a happy birthday even if it's still tomorrow. I will absent at school tomorrow because I have a sore eye, that's why I have sunglasses," then she wiggled his eyebrows.

"Sam will be so sad!" I teased.

She was surprised. "How did you know him?"

"Alden told me!"

"Alden? Told you? What?"

"Yep!"

"Really? I thought he would never notice anyone since his ex and him broke up."

"Who is his ex?"

"Didn't you know? It's Joyce Ching!"

"He never mentioned her."

"Maybe he just loves you!"

I was quite speechless for a while. Alden? Loves? Maine? What?
