Insane Like Me (Klaus/OC/Damon)

I woke up just as Damon was walking downstairs and I sighed before moving over to the window chair and sitting there, looking up at the sky. Just as the sun was coming up Damon walked back in with a tray of food for us. "Hey, you started without me." He joked and I smiled. We ate in silence, watching the sun light up the trees and I just leaned into his side contently. I just stared up at the sky contently making Damon chuckle. "What are you doing now?"

"I'm naming all the stars." I stated and he kissed my cheek.

"But it's day time. Okay, what are you naming them?" He questioned, trying to understand, or at least pretend to, which made me very happy. Over time Klaus has gotten used to the way I speak and can translate most things, but Damon is trying, and that means something.

"I've named them all the same, and there's terrible confusion..." I whispered and he smiled, kissing my head.We stayed in his room most of the day, cuddling, talking and watching movies when we heard a bunch of people entering the house.

"Stefan's home. And he brought friends. Elena, Caroline, Bonnie, and Alaric are all here. Fantastic!" He exclaimed sarcastically, making me giggle. "We have to go get lunch anyway, I'll see what they're doing, you go find something to eat." I nodded as we ran downstairs. I went to the kitchen, quickly starting to make burgers as Damon talked. I ignored the conversation going on in there until the food was done. That was when I noticed Damon yelling at Elena and I grabbed the plates, walking into the room. "I'd be extra nice to me right now, because I'm about ready to kill you myself!"

"She's crazy Damon, completely unstable and you need to get rid of her before I have Bonnie do it!"

"No one is going to touch her Elena, I love her! Do You Understand?!" He screamed. I put the plates on top of the bar and walked to him.

"Do you love my insides Angel? The parts you can't see?" I asked as he pulled me to him.

"Eyeballs to entrails my Dove. You can do whatever you want Elena, I'm not helping you. I cared about you, I've saved you more times than I can count, and you repay me by coming into my house, and saying I need to get rid of my mate. I hope it hurts when he kills you." He growled, pulling me out of the room. I grabbed the plates as we passed and noticed the man on the couch staring at me and Damon. I looked into his eyes and got flashes of Klaus' face.

"Puppy?" I asked making him grin. I was pulled out of the room and back upstairs by Damon. We ate and talked as everyone else went to the dance and we fell asleep like that, I was content knowing Puppy was okay, and I will see him soon.
