Chapter Eight: The Flashback

Cho's POV
Damn it! It's not right to kill Rin on his first mission. Actually, it's not right to kill him at all because he hasn't showed any signs of betraying us at all. I think Sengoku and the Admirals cooked this up the moment Rin acquired Devil Fruit powers. Now, when I really think about it, it makes sense why they would do it now. Rin's getting stronger everyday and they fact that he controls the wind like his personal pet adds to his threat level. He started learning how to do that when he was eight and I took him on a bounty hunt for the pirate we called, Speedster Ryuu.

10 years ago...
Eight year old Rin, stood two feet away from a man with medium blonde hair and a scar going across his face. He had the face of a angry dog with blood red eyes and the body of an ox. He wore no shirt, but a lightning bolt was tattooed across his chest with tight red pants and black boots. The man's name was Ryuu Cheng, but his bounty name was Speedster Ryuu due to facts he holds the power of the Speed Speed Fruit.
Both Rin and Ryuu stood, three feet away, on a single piece of driftwood that's was left from Ryuu's ship that Rin destroyed earlier.

"Who...the fuck do you think you are kid?" Ryuu asked. His voice was half as deep as Akainu's. "You think you can just walk on my ship... Beat up my crew.... DESTROY my ship.... and now you claim you are gonna arrest me and take my bounty. That's cute, kid. That's reeeeeeaaaal cute."

"Glad you think so, because I want you to remember how cute my fist is after you kissed it," Rin responded cracking his knuckles, and pointed his right fist at Ryuu.

"Your one cocky piece of shit, aren't you. Lets see you keep that shit up when I send your ass back to the Marines in a fucking box!" Ryuu growled as he ran , at a high-speed pace, towards Rin.
Rin stood with both his arms to the left, put his right leg behind him to keep his balance after he uses this attack. Ryuu was now in front of him about to strike.

"ROKUOGAN!!!!" Rin yelled as he sent a massive force of air pressure through Ryuu's body. Ryuu coughed up blood as he flew across the wood and water and crashed into was use to be his ship's hull. He got up and held his stomach as if he was about to vomit, and coughed up more blood.

"How does that feel!" Rin yelled from his position.

"You arrogant little bastard. What the fuck did you do to me?" Ryuu grimaced.

"Landed you on your ass, what does it look like, you idiot," Rin taunted, as he jumped into the air and landed in front him.

"Why you little-," Ryuu started to say, but was interrupted when Rin sent a air packed fist to his face sending him flying through the skies.

"MACH PUNCH!"
Ryuu fell out the sky towards the ocean, barely concious, and regain his senses and began his run while, so when he landed he can immediately started running across the water.

"Woah, that's so cooool!" Rin said in astonishment as Ryuu charged at him. Rin shook his head realizing he was still in a fight and gathered the winds to lift him off the ground. He then charged at Ryuu while riding the winds with his next attack ready.
He gather strong winds around his wrist as he advanced and prepared himself for the clash that was about to take place.

"FLASH FLURRY!!!" Ryuu yelled as he sent a barrage of high-speed punches at Rin

"CYCLONE BARRAGE!!!" Rin countered Ryuu's barrage with one of his own using Soru to keep up with Ryuu's speed.

"Yeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" They both cried out in unison as they each tried to gain an advantage of the other. Ryuu ran circles around Rin to stay above water while Rin easily rotated to keep up the clash. Rin slowly started to gain an advantage over Ryuu.
Damn this kid, I'll give a little respect I never met anyone who can keep up with me and my 2x speed, but I'm not about to loose against this little bastard, Ryuu thought to himself as he continued to try to beat Rin.

"Speed 3x!!!" Ryuu said as he sped up his barrage gaining a total dominance over Rin making him revert to defense, but even that failed causing Rin to get pummeled repeatedly in the face. Ryuu then continued to run while continue to punch Rin almost like a pile driver and ended it by a strong right haymaker sending Rin flying into a nearby island's mountain.
Rin quickly got out of the crater only to get hit from multiple random directions.

"SPEED TIME STRIKES!!!" Ryuu yelled as he continued his barrage.

"Damn you, stop playing around!" Rin yelled, as he punched the ground with a wind-enhanced fist, making the ground around him to shake and throwing off Ryuu's run. Ryuu staggered, tripped, and flew towards Rin's position as Rin threw a wind enhanced punch to his face. Ryuu flew across the seas once again with Rin riding the winds right behind him.
He put his hands in the water and let them slide across, using the wind to gather the water around his forearms. Ryuu regained his balance and started a run in mid-air, as he slowly started to fall on the ocean's surface, and ran across the sea. He turned around and charged at when with the soul intent to kill him.
I'm tired of this kid and he little cheap shots he's getting on me. It's time to beat his little ass!" Ryuu thought to himself. As he shifter his speed to fives times his normal speed.
Five, Rin thought to himself as he stopped his glide and hovered with the position of Rokuogan ready.

"Those this mean you give up? What's that matter, kid? Don't think you'll be able to keep up!?" Ryuu taunted as he advanced.
Four.
Three.
Two.

"So long, kid!" Ryuu yelled as he leaped at Rin with his right hand vibrating at a suoer sonic speed.
One.
"Phase Shifter Punch!!!!" Ryuu shouted as he launched his fist aiming for his heart.

"TYPHOON ROKUOGAN!!!" Rin said as he used the water around his forearm and the wind to send a high-pressurised, hydro cannon at Ryuu's torso. The wind went through Ryuu's body causing internal damage, while the water barreled into Ryuu's torso causing external damage.
Ryuu was sent flying up into the sky from Rin's attack,and Rin used the wind to fly up there with him while his final attack ready. He had water surrounding his forearm once again on his right arm.

"Typhoon Blaster!" Rin launched his fist at Ryuu's face. A combination of water and wind exploded sending Ryuu flying into the ocean.

"Told you I could kick your ass!" Rin yelled as if Ryuu could still here him as he drowned.

Cho's POV
"Cho....Cho....Chooooooo!" I was shooken awake with someone whispering in my ear. I opened my eyes and everything seemed blurry as my eyes adjusted to the darkness in my room. I didn't even know I went to sleep. First, i came and thought about my times with Rin, and last time I checked it was still light out. Now, its pitch black in my room like its almost midnight. I couldnt make out he woke me but from the look of the silhouette, it looked like Hans's figure.

"Hans?" I questioned. "What's going on?"

"We have to go. Rin's asleep and we are about a hour and a half away from Knock Up Stream," he explained as he opened the door for me.

"Ok, lets go," I said as i walked out the room with Hans right behind me.
