Aurora's POV:

"Y-you look great," Seth stuttered, eyes still examining every inch, "Really...really great." I beamed."Thanks." I responded, before Cora came strutting down the stairs.

"I told you!" She squealed as she made some final touches tugging at my dress. I took the time to glance at hayes, who was leaning against the doorframe per usual and just avoiding my gaze. On the other hand, he did give me some second glances, with his eyes lingering from time to time. He still didn't anything.

"What time did Liam say he was going to come by?" Cora questioned, I quickly checked the time before speaking. "He texted earlier. He said in about fifteen or twenty minutes." The room went silent as the ticking of the clock kept us on our heels.

"This is such a fucking mistake." Hayes muttered under his breath and his words shot at my skin like frostbite. His negativity was really taking out the romantic aura of my date with Liam. I was going to hiss an insult back, but I wasn't going to waste my breath.

Just as Cora was about to tug at my dress even more, we were all startled by the sudden chime of the doorbell. She scurried to answer the door as I tried to correct my posture and contain the chaotic zoo building in my stomach, hayes was still bored of this entire thing and seth was entertained with our bickering.

She opened the door and Liam stood proudly in a black suit that clung to his tall figure, his hair was slicked back slightly and his eyes were mesmerizingly the centre of attention.

"Wow..." I said to myself quickly. He stepped forward with a perky smile and took hold of my hands from my sides.

"Hey, I should be saying that to you," he brought one of my hands to his lips and kissed it without averting his gaze and a smile sprung from my rose cheeks that were to tinted.

"Hi!," Cora said rather over-enthusiastic, "I'm Cora!" She took his hand and shook it with such force that I could see Liam trying to catch on to her powerful gestures.

He chuckled, "uh hi, I'm Liam." The room went silent for a split second before I made the brave decision to introduce Liam to everyone.

"Liam, this is Cora, Seth and Hayes, a couple good friends of mine."

"Nice to meet you," Seth sneered as he shook his hand. Liam was going to step forward to shake Hayes's hand but he pulled back.

"Hi asshole." Hayes retorted confidently before stuffing one hand in his pocket and scratching the back of his head with the other.

"Uh..." Liam replied awkwardly. I coughed as Cora took the hint and swatted hayes with her arm before scolding at him.

"So, where are you two kids off to tonight?" Cora asked, she started to sound like my mother. That is, if she was around often.

"A lounge downtown, specifically the one that just opened up named earls. I made reservations, shall we get going?" I took that as a sign and agreed quickly as possible. I stepped out of the household before Cora tossed me a black coat and Liam was rudely stopped by hayes.

"Don't stay out too long! It's a school day tomorrow!" Cora squealed, God, what was she trying to do? Embarrass me?

"You," he frowned deeply into Liam's eyes before lightly pushing him against the door, "you hurt her in anyway, and I swear, I'm going to fucking ruin that face of yours. You hear that?" Hayes threatened before walking away as soon as possible, This date was already going off to a tipsy start. Can't wait to see what the rest of the evening has in store, I thought sarcastically.
