RJ sat down in his chair and smiled. "I am fine, thank you for asking." He opened his book then looked up at Candy. "Did you have something good to eat today?" Candy Is staring down at her book, she giggles softly and smiles. "Yes, I did.." RJ gives her a sincere look when he turns the page in his book. "What did you eat?" Candy is surprised by his concern, She sits up and says. "Uhm, chicken and stir fried veggies" Candy smiles. RJ smiles and shakes his head yes. "That is excellent!" Candy looks at him a little strangely. ''That's funny that you should ask what I had to eat." RJ cocks his head to the side. "Well, that's how it is in my culture. People care about things that affect other people." Candy felt a little embarrassed. "Where is your culture?" RJ Smiled softly. "I'm from India." Candy's eyes widened surprised. "Wow! Really?" Candy's sits up in her seat. " What's your major?" RJ leans back In his chair. "I want to be a surgeon. I have another year here, then I'll transfer to university."

Candy's phone chimes. Candy looks at her screen. "It's my mom..." She reads the text.

RJ looked up at her concerned. "Is everything okay?" Candy puts her phone in her backpack and starts packing up her books. "My dad's in intensive care, my mom said he's getting worse." RJ gets out of his chair and hands her the books from the table. Candy puts one strap over her shoulder and walks toward the door. "I'll talk to you later." RJ Stood next to the table.
