Chapter 9:

Jacey's POV

Dodododododododododododo.

Dodododododododododododo.

The ringing of the alarm on my phone woke me up this morning at 6:30AM. I sighed and turned it off as I peeled the sweaty blankets off of my body. Even for mid-October, it was hot. I got up off my bed and walked over to the bathroom. I quickly hopped into the shower and washed my body and hair quickly, fully waking myself up. I stepped out and dried myself. Then, the doorbell rang. I knew from prior experiences that no one in my family was up as early as I was, so, in only my towel, I went downstairs to answer the door.   "Hey." I opened up to Sydney.   "Hey! I haven't seen you for like, the whole summer! How was Italy?" I asked.   "It was good." She looked exhausted. Her usually set-on-her-shoulders blonde hair was tied up in a sloppy bun. There were quite heavy bags under her light green eyes and she was breaking out all over her face. She was dressed in Aéropostale sweats and a loose tank top with Nike runners.   "You look really tired. Underline on the really." I said.   "Ugh." She sighed.   I smiled slightly. "I'm guessing by that, you know?"   "Yes!" She half-yelled, knowing that my family is still in bed.   "Sounds like it might be somebody's time of the month." I muttered.   "It isn't." I heard her say.   There was a pause before she said, "Can you make me a coffee, please? I need it. Desperately."  "Awe sure sweetie." I said.

Sydney and I talked the whole morning leaving me about no time to get ready for school. I decided to tie up my dark hair in a tight bun since it was still wet from my shower and put very little make up on, making me look absolutely different. I was dressed in my school uniform. I wore a long-sleeved white polo with the grey sweater vest on top. I had those tucked into the grey and blue kilt. I was really happy about that- they decided to only let the grade 13's wear the kilts since most of the slutty girls who would raise their skirts left. I also put on a pair of black leggings since it was chilly out, and last but not least, I put on my black flats. I grabbed my PINK floral book bag from the bottom of the stairs and my house and car keys and headed out the door and into my black Honda. I sped off to school listening to the music on my iPhone. I got to the large building and parked in my usual parking spot near the doors so I don't have to walk far. I got out of the car with my bag in my hand. As I closed my door and started heading to the school, I looked up and saw him starting at me.

"Hello, Jacey." He spoke.
