"So this is where you live?", he asks without looking at me.

"Yeah"

Clenching my hands I feel his hand still holding mine and look at my feet in emberrassment. He gently squeezes my hand and my heart beat increases. Before I can react he already rang the bell. The door flows open and standing there is my mother, still holding a tissue to her eyes.

"Aki!", she pulls me in for a hug and I'm forced to let go of the hand that gave me so much strength.

"I came here with a friend", I say, out of breath because we ran all the way here and I try to introduce him,"His name is Fushimi Jay, he accompanied me all the way back here."

My mother finally lets go of me and looks at him,"Thank you very much for bringing him home. I was nearly worried to death. First we lose our home, then our only son runs away", tears start welling up in her eyes,"Sorry. Please come on in."

"Sorry for intruding", we take of our shoes and go to the livingroom.

The two men are still there and now my sister is there too.

"Good evening", Jay says, sitting down in the armchair I sat in earlier.

Everyone looked at him with a questioning gaze. An my family was kind of charmed by him, the moment thhey layed eyes on him. I felt jealousy well up inside of me.

"Please, isn't there any other way?", my father lokked at the men with a pleading look on his face.

"No, like we said-", one of them says and is interupted by my sister.

"Is there really nothing that can be done?!", by now the men look angry.

"You were scammed"

Those words pierce trough the atmosphere. We all stare at Jay, who is holding the document and wait for him to explain what he meant.

"Over 200.000 Yen are missing", he flicks through the pages, " 273130, to be precise"

What? What is he saying? I don't understand... we were scammed?

"The contract you signed was about the Nakamura family lending a hand to the the Sugawara family, not paying off their entire dept"

"Huh?", eyes widen in shock as he stares at the two men.

"Is that tru-?", my father, now furious, asks but is interupted by Jay.

"I've been wondering about this for a while now, but could it be that you were part of the Otsuka-group?"

"Otsuka? The company that went bankrupt?", mother asks as she steps closer.

"Haha, what are you saying, kid? Trying to act tough now, aren't you?", the two men in suits attempt to laugh it off but are obviously trying to talk themselves out of this situation.

"Oh and by the way, I called the cops on my way here. They'll arrive any minute now", as Jay finishes his sentence, we hear syrens from outside and car doors being slamed shut. My mother makes her way to the door to open it for the people ringing the door bell. Seconds later policemen enter the room and put handcuffs on the two men.

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Do you understand the rights I have just read to you?", one of them says and the other men try to turn around to look at Jay.

"You little...!!! You'll pay for this!", they are forcefully dragged out of the house and we see the police car drive off into the distance.
