"Coffee?", Jay ask preparing some by the counter.
"No, I don't like coffee. It tastes awefull. Way too bitter", I decline.
He turns around, a little surprised, as if to make sure I wasn't joking. Chuckling, he starts looking around, searching for something.
"Green tea, then?", he holds up a tea bag he just found.
While Jay prepares our breakfast I stare at him. I just love seeing his shirtless upper body. I don't know why, but it seems like his jeans fit perfectly. They aren't tight or too big...it's more like they just casually rest on his hips.
"Come to think of it, why did I have to get dressed?", I ask him as he hands me the tea.
He walks around the table and sits down opposite of me,"Well, because your parents want you to come home"
"Huh? Why didn't you tell me?"
"I did promise your parents to bring you home on saturday, if they let you stay", he takes a sip from his coffee.
"But when did you talk to them?"
"Don't you remember? When youu had a fever? I got your things so you could stay over."
"Ah, that's right, I totally forgot about that... I still need to repeat the exercises for the classes I missed that day...", I take a sip as well,"...say, is it really true?"
"What is?", Jay asks confused.
"That person the teacher called that day, he said you weren't going to come to school, right?"
"Hm? Oh, that. Yeah, I'll be busy with some other things so I won't be able to come to school for some time"
Probably noticing my unhappy expression, Jay pulls me in for a kiss over the table. A long and passionat one.
"Don't worry. It's nothing big", he explains in a calm voice.
"You say it's 'nothing big' but it's important enough for you to absent from school"
Silence. Neither of us says anything. As I begin to wounder if, maybe, I went a little too far, Jay slumps back on the chair and lets out a long, frustrated sigh.
Taking a deep breath, his eyes fixed on the coffee mug,"My brother's and I run a Family-Business. They want me to give them a hand for the time being. My grades are pretty good, so the school can't say anything against it", scratching the back of his head, he avoids to look me in the eyes.
"What kind of business?", I ask him, interested in what that 'Family-Business' might be.
"I'm not telling you, no way. You'd laugh your ass off", he stands up abruptly, putting on his shirt.
"Aww, come on, I promise I won't laugh!", I follow him out the kitchen to the appartment door.
"NO. I definitely won't tell you", he says.
We share our last kiss and leave the apartment after that.
