Chapter Five: Overdue encounters

(A/N: Took way too many chapters to get this far! Thank you to anyone who is actually still reading this and hasn't just given up already!
I just felt like certain important events and relationships had to be somewhat established - seeing as I mentioned other characters would be heavily involved in this story ~ that and I have a tendency to ramble... so before I further demonstrate that let us continue!
Oh and just so ya know... long, long chapter ahead. Over 6k words...)

"Uhhh..." Was all you could come out with after what you had just witnessed. "Who are they..? And er, what's up with Vegeta?" You question, scratching your head as you stare down at the parchment.

The scroll had revealed to you a peculiar scene - an odd group of aliens that referred to themselves as the Ginyu force enacted the most bizarre poses, oh and Vegeta had apparently lost his mind.

"Ginyu switched bodies with father- who's now Goku..." Trunks begins trying to explain, clearly only succeeding in confusing himself. "Who's now father-"

"Who's now Ginyu..?" You interject unhelpfully, barely trying to follow at this point.

"Uh..." He shakes his head. "Just go already! We'll sort out this mess when you're there!"

After having the rerolled parchment thrust into your arms you soon find your self taking a little trip back in time...

"-And together we are the Ginyu for-"

With a bright flash of light you make your entrance - appearing between the five strange people from the scroll, Vegeta and two familiar figures you recognised as Krillin and Gohan.
You were stood in a spacious field, the grass beneath your feet was a teal blue colour in contrast to the green cloudy skies overhead, and the surrounding area was empty save for a few scattered trees, a small river and the tall craggy wall of rock far to your right.
You blink, readjusting your eyes to the new setting, from what you had been told you were on Namek - home planet of namekians, such as Piccolo - couldn't say you had ever visited before, or even knew much of anything about the place.

"Who the heck are you?" Asks a short, round, four eyed, green-skinned alien from beside his team members, each one of them holding their pose as they stare at you with expressions ranging from surprise and fear to annoyance.

"A-are you in Lord Frieza's family?" Questioned the tall man with purple skin and black horns, as he looks up at you from his crouched position.

Behind you, your unknowing friends back away slightly, unsure of what was going on and very likely doubting you were on their side.

"Um..." This was the third time you had been connected to this 'Frieza' now, you really should have read that history book Trunks gave you. "No..?" Your answer comes out sounding more like a question in itself. You clear your throat and quickly regain your composure before smirking and continuing. "Names (y/n), and I'm here to stop- uh... whatever it is you're doing here!" You proclaim with one hand on your hip and a finger pointed at your soon to be opponents.

"...You didn't read it did you?" Says Trunks over your scouter - if it were possible to face-palm through voice alone, he was definitely doing so right now.

"It's on the to-do list!" You whisper harshly in reply.

"Y-you're on our side?" Asks the short human behind you in disbelief.

Vegeta growls, eyes narrowed at you, appearing less then happy about your being there regardless of whose side you were on. "I don't care who you are - I'll deal with you later, stay out of my way!" With that his attention turns back towards your mutual enemies and he quickly springs into action, engaging the purple, horned alien - Ginyu - in battle.
