Chapter 8

Camila POV

When I got home i put Sophia to bed in her new galaxy room. She decided she wanted a galaxy room in the new house right when i told her we were moving. I got her a telescope, glow in the dark stars for the ceiling, and stickers of different nebulas and galaxy of stars on the walls. She has been obsessed with the night sky ever since i took her to the Griffith Observatory in California when she was 4. It became a tradition to go every month and look at the stars together.

When i was a kid I was obsessed with stars just like she is now. They are so beautiful and mysterious, i feel like they have magic in them, she believes the same. There's not really a good places to look at stars around Miami but I tried to get her the best telescope i could so she could at least try to see them threw her window.

I tucked her into her purple bed and closed her curtains then walked to my own room. I decided on a more simple room with light blue walls and white furniture. I went into my bathroom and started changing out of my clothes when Lauren's card fell out of my pocket I smiled to myself picking it up.

"Lauren Jauregui, Manager/Attorney, Lylas Records, 305-779-7979"

I pulled out my phone typing in her number but it was already stored in my phone "Planet Green Eyes<3" she never changed her number...

When i changed into pajamas I placed the card on my night table next to my phone and i got in bed. I sat there thinking about Lauren and how amazing it was to run into her again. I really want to catch up with Lauren, I've missed her so much. Looking into her eyes again gave me butterflies all over my body.

Next Morning

"Morning mommy!" I heard my daughter scream as she jumped on top of me making me wake up to one of the best dream's I have ever had... Lauren was there, so was Sophia, Ally, Dinah, and Normani, I hope that could happen soon. I wrapped my arms around my little daughter and gave her kisses all over her face "Morning nugget"  smiled at her and she handed me the remote "What would you like to watch today?" I asked, every Sunday morning we watched her cartoon of choice in my bed and I made breakfast in bed "Miles from tomorrow land" she decided and i put it on then made my way down stairs to start on pancakes.

I came back up stairs with a tray filled with pancakes, strawberries, and orange juice Sophia sat up and I set her up with little cut pieces of pancake and a few strawberry slices then started eating myself "You know you start school tomorrow?" I brought up and she pouted "But why can't I just be with you?" She asked and i sighed "Because school is amazing, You're going to learn a lot like how to write and read" i explained "I already know how to read and write my name" She said with sass reminding me of my younger sister, they are a lot alike "Yes nugget but you're going to learn how to do it better" i said poking her nose and she nodded "But i'll miss you" She said sadly which broke my heart "I'll miss you too princess" I kissed her head and the conversation ended there.

She had been nervous for her first day of school ever since I told her about it in the middle of summer. Some days she was excited but other she was not having it. She didn't really hang out with other kids lately since we moved but I know she was going to be happy at school.

After breakfast we went down stairs to wash dishes and got ourselves dressed for the day. We left our new small house and got in my car. Sophia strapped herself in and I started driving to Aventura mall when my phone rang "Planet Green Eye's <3" i instantly smiled and swiped the screen then held it up to my ear "Hey you" I said "Hey Camz, What are you up too?" Lauren asked "Well... I just got to Aventura, we are going shopping, you?" I asked "Well i was sitting around my office when i noticed you haven't called or texted me so i thought i would take matter's into my own hands" Lauren said charmingly "Well if I do remember you were the one that always had a problem with texting me first when we were young" I reminded her "Ah yes i do recall but i guess things change" She said which made me giggle "How did you even get my number anyways?" I asked as i parked my car in the mall parking lot "Well I begged Normani to call Dinah to get it" she explained "Do I have a stalker now?" I asked getting off the car and helping Sophia get off the car and held her hand as we crossed the street to the mall entrance "No, not at all i just got bored here you know work sucks" She said "What are you even doing at work on a Sunday?!" I asked "The music business does not sleep and i've been called a workaholic by many" she said "Well why don't you leave the boring office and come meet us at the mall?" i asked looking at Sophia ad she had a big smile on her face as she listened to our conversation "Sounds good i'll be there in 20" she said and i could here her starting to move around "I'll see you soon then, bye" i said "Bye Camila Cabello" I felt myself start to blush as i put my phone in my purse "Lauren's coming?" Sophia asked "Yeah she'll be here soon thats okay right?" I asked my daughter "Yeah i love her!" My daughter said happily "Good, i think i do too" I said quietly remembering all my times with Lauren in high school. It was a short couple of months when we were together but the memories stayed with me forever.
