Chapter 12

Camila POV

I was getting ready for my date with Lauren, Dinah was down stairs playing with Sophia. She kindly offered to baby sit for the night once i told her what had been going on with Lauren and about our date. She is so happy to see us back together, she says 'The Camren Ship is Sailing again!' whatever that mean.

Since Lauren said the date would be casual I decided on wearing a skirt with a dressy tank top and heels. When I finished I walked down stairs to see Dinah and Sophia coloring.

"My girls" I winked and Dinah flipped me off "Not nice chee chee" Sophia said and I kissed her on the cheek "You tell Auntie how to be a good girl" I said giving her a tight hug. Dinah rolled her eyes and I gave her a hug as well "Soph you're in charge don't let Dinah set the house on fire!" I said when I heard a knock on the door. Sophia got excited and started telling Dinah how to color 'correctly'.

I opened the door to find Lauren with a sun flower in her hand "Hey you" Lauren said smiling and I leaned in giving her a quick kiss "Thank you for the flower it's beautiful" I said taking it and inviting her inside so I could put it in water. "Hi Dinah, Hi kiddo" Lauren said hugging my daughter and our friend. "You look hot Lo" Dinah winked and Lauren blushed "Thanks, I try" Lauren said smirking.

"Make sure to take care of mommy okay?" Sopha said standing up on her chair and looking at Lauren straight in the eyes "I will protect her with my life princess Sophia" Lauren said kneeling down to the floor with her head down "Good, Now take her on your horse knight" Sophia said shooing Lauren away.

Lauren took my hand and I quickly grabbed my purse. "In bed by 9!" I reminded Dinah and she saluted me "Have fun on the ship" Dinah winked and I just rolled my eyes. When I closed the door Lauren turned to me asking "What ship?"

"the camren ship" I explained and she shook her head smiling "She is something else" Lauren said as she opened her car door for me"

Lauren pulled up to the valet in front of  a huge building at the end of ocean drive. When we entered I looked at the signs which read 'Bass Art Museum', Lauren took my hand and we entered the building.

There was a lot of people around in fancy clothes looking at art and drinking... I felt so out of place.
"I thought you said casual!" I whispered to Lauren and she grabbed my hands quickly walking us past the art "Wait that one looked interesting where are we going?" I asked and she just smiled not saying a word.

We stood in front of an elevator which was guarded by a man. He smiled at Lauren and pressed the down button, When it arrived we got in and Lauren pressed 'Ground Floor'.

When the doors open we entered a quiet dark place. Lauren turned on the lights which reveled a whole gallery filled with paintings and sculptured. Similar to the one down stairs but more private and the pieces were more extravagant. "I'm one of the donators to this museum along with others around Miami and I thought you would enjoy a little private showing.

I was speechless, and very impressed. Lauren took ahold of my hand again and started telling me about the diffrent pieces threw out the gallery. She was so passionate about them it was lovely to see it in her eyes, It's just like when she talked about music she loves.

"This is one of my favorites, The painter is British and she always wanted to come to America, this is basically about what she thought it would be like" she explained. I looked closer to see different cities represented all over the painting like New York, Chicago, California, Miami and more.

"This is beautiful, What other galleries do you donate too?" I wondered "The Wynwood Walls and Doors is one, It's outside and the walls are always changing, and another favorite of mines is the Miami Children Museum" 

"I remember my Dad taking me to the walls when I was young I'd love to go again and take Soph" I said recalling the beautiful memory "I'd love to take you both if you don't mind. I can rent a golf cart or bikes for us it would be a really fun day" Lauren said getting excited about it.  "She'll love the Children's Museum too" she added. The way Lauren thinks and talks about my daughter really makes me happy. I know I would want her in our lives forever, Sophia adores her just as much which makes things easy.

After we walked threw the whole gallery Lauren took me to a food truck. She ordered us different types of tacos. She really knew the way into my heart. Today she decided to drive a huge truck with a flat bed in the back  so we sat there eating. "How many cars do you own Lo?" I asked "Well my Lambo, this one, and a convertible mustang" she explained "Why this one?" I wondered "My first car was a pick up truck and I really loved it so I got the newest version of the one I had" she said "I remember that truck!" I said making her smile "Yeah a lot of good memories in it"

After we ate I just laid against Lauren as we watched the stars. I felt like we were back in high school with no worries, Lauren always makes me feel right at home. "I have a question" Lauren said breaking our comfortable silence "go ahead" I replied sitting up in her lap "I know you want to take things slow because of Sophia and I totally understand but I was wondering if you wanted to do what we never got to do before, and make us official" She said while tracing the palm of my hand. "I'm happy you have Sophia in mind, I was always scared to date because of her, she loves getting attached to people.." I said. Lauren looked at me waiting for an answer and it was funny to watch her break a sweat "But I believe we are meant to be together so yes Lauren, I would love to make things official" I said and she smiled sitting up properly.

"So Karla Camila Cabello, will you be my girlfriend?"  Lauren asked and I rolled my eyes at her using my first name "I would love to, Lauren Michelle Jauregui" I said giving her a kiss on the lips which soon turned into a make out session under the stars.

When we arrived at my house, Lauren walked me to the front door and I softly knocked on it "I guess I will call you tomorrow.... girlfriend" I said with a cheeky grin on my face and Lauren just pulled me into another kiss as she has been doing the whole night. "woah woah.... You're gonna burn my eye balls!" Dinah yelled when she opened the door "Relax DJ my girlfriend and will stop kissing for you" Lauren said emphasizing on the word girlfriend "YES THE SHIP HAS SAILED" Dinah yelled and I smacker her arm "Sophia is going to wake up you dummy!" I said and she covered her mouth "Opps.... Well I'm happy ya'll are in love and shit but I'm out, Night" DJ said hugging both of us "I guess talk to you tomorrow Beautiful" Lauren said giving me a kiss on the cheek "why don't you stay over?" I asked not wanting her to leave and she gasped "Camila Cabello wants to get some on the first date, woah" she said and I pulled her close putting our lips just inches apart "Oh no baby that's for the third date" I winked and Lauren's jaw dropped "I can not wait for the third then.... Can this be our second?" she asked and I giggled pecking her lips "If you stay over maybe" I said "I have to work tomorrow love" Lauren said as I pulled her inside "Who works on Sundays?!" I asked surprised "Me" she sighed wrapping her arms around me. "But I can come after work?" She suggested "Sure why not" I smiled and Lauren kissed my cheek over and over again.

"See you tomorrow, tell soph I say Hi" Lauren said walking out the door. When I saw her drive away I locked up everything and made my way up stairs to check on Sophia who was sound asleep. When I went to my room I laid in bed thinking about how I was going to explain this to her. I decided to look on google for advice, bad ideas... everything sounded really bad, and scary.

I shut off everything and fell asleep thinking of different scenarios in my head on how this could happen.... oh boy.
