I walk to the police department wandering whats going to happen to me now . I sit down and wait for that one person to come up to me and say that I am going to a foster home. A few hours after we walked into the department I took a nap and read a book that my mother gave me when I was 14 . I should be able to live on my own , I am 17. Someone came to me and said exactly what I thought that they were going to say , " I am going to a 45 year old woman's house and live there until I am 18? No way am I doing that , I want to live on my own !" I said kinda demanding for them to let me live by myself. " How are you going to pay bills or even pay rent . I want you to live there for only a year and then you can live by yourself and beside you need a job." said the captain . " No! No! No! , Watch me run my life , because I can and your not , and if i cant then you can sign me up for that woman , deal? " I offered . " Fine , but promise if you need help tell one of us? " Said the captain . "Yes , I promise " I said.
