“Where the fuck are you taking me?” Stiles demanded from the backseat of Matt’s car. His wrists and ankles were secured together with zip ties, and he could barely move. The effects of the Kanima’s poison still clung to him like molasses, slowing his already limited movements.

Matt sighed, but Stiles could see him smiling in the rearview mirror. “I told you, there’s someone who wants to see you. I believe you met earlier this evening. You made quite the impression, apparently.” He smirked.

Stiles’ breath caught in his chest. “Matt, listen to me. I just want to go home, okay? I’ve got nothing to do with whatever the hell is going on here. I’m just a normal kid, alright? Please just let me go.”

Matt reached back and ran his hand over Stiles’ arm. Stiles flinched away from him like he was coated with acid. “Stiles,” he sighed, taking his hand back and turning the corner onto Mitchell Park Ave. “You are part of this, whether you like it or not. Running with the wolves means you triumph and die with them too. Did you really think that sleeping with the Beacon Hills Alpha would go unnoticed by his enemies?”

“I was unaware that my relationships are any of your fucking business,” Stiles snapped. He pushed his foot towards the latch on the door. If he could lift the latch with his foot, he could get out of the car. And possibly die when he hit the road. Seemed like the best option based on the look on Matt’s face.

“The child lock is on the door,” Matt said, noticing Stiles’ movements in the rearview mirror. “You can only open the door from the outside.”

“How did you get into my apartment?” Stiles asked through gritted teeth. There had to be some way he could get word to Derek… His phone. He reached for his pocket, but his phone wasn’t there. He remembered dropping it into his bag when the Kanima had attacked.

“Your roommate Scott came into the hospital to get some tests done,” Matt said. “He left his keys in his jeans pocket. It’s not like it’s hard to get a key copied.”

“You creep,” Stiles spat. “You do know that that’s illegal. Though now that I think of it, so is kidnapping people.”

Matt smiled, and the back of his neck twitched a little. Stiles noticed a small patch of green scales peeking out from beneath his collar. “I was just trying to get your attention, Stiles. That’s all I want.”
