The wind whistled through Streampaw's ears as she padded across the moor in the middle of the four cats escorting her. What have I done, she thought. What if I've caused something... She glanced to the side and saw Rainstar talking angrily with Oakclaw. She could make out some of the words.

"What if you had killed her!?" Rainstar snarled.
"I wouldn't have!" Oakclaw growled.
"Then why did you attack her?"
"She was the one crossing our borders!"
"That's no excuse! What if a WindClan patrol had shown up?!"
"They wouldn't have! They're to mouse-brained to patrol!

Streampaw couldn't hear anything else as the wind blew harder. She felt her tail droop and her ears lay flat on her head. "StarClan help me..." Suddenly, there was a low growl coming from a large patch of heather. Streampaw looked up to see Lionclaw, and his patrol behind him. Skyheart, and Fawnleap we're among them.

Their eyes were blazing with hostility, and Lionclaw's golden pelt was bristling. "What do you think your doing on our territory!?" he snarled. Rainstar stepped forward. He showed no fear as he stood in front of Lionclaw. "The question is what was your apprentice doing over our border?" Rainstar widened his eyes in surprise.

Lionclaw looked at Rain star. "What are you talking about? Our apprentices aren't as mouse-brained as you! "Oakclaw growled, but Rainstar shot him a cold glance. "I'm talking about this apprentice." he mewed. Rainstar moved to the side so Lionclaw could see Streampaw.

Streampaw bowed her head as Lionclaw padded forward. His amber eyes were wide with disbelief. "Streampaw. Go back to camp." he said gruffly. "But-" Streampaw stammered. Lionclaw shot her a hard look and turned back to Rainstar. Streampaw turned back to Lionclaw's patrol and padded after them.

Soon the patrol reached the camp. Streampaw padded through the bramble entrance. Everything looked normal in the camp. Streampaw suddenly saw Birdstar bound up to them. "What's going on? Where's Lionclaw?" she asked worriedly. Fawnleap stepped forward. "He's sorting out a... small problem with a ThunderClan patrol." Birdstar's tail lashed and her eyes flashed. "What! What do those mange-ridden flea bags want!" Streampaw whimpered and crouched on the ground shivering. She had never seen Birdstar so angry; her pelt was fluffed out to make her look twice her size. "The problem is that they we're only bringing back Streampaw from her accidental expedition into their territory." Fawnleap mewed cautiously.

Birdstar looked at Streampaw and took a deep breath. She sighed and padded toward her. Streampaw's legs were shaking already. She pounced forward, her eyes as wide as an owls. "I'm sorry! It was an accident! I never meant to cross the border!" she cried out. The patrol behind her looked at her wide-eyed. Streampaw was panicking! She has never wanted- or tried to get into trouble- especially  with her leader! Birdstar gave her a hard, stern look. "I understand that it was an accident. It happens," she meowed gently. "But you shouldn't have wandered so far from camp."

Yeah, I wouldn't have wandered so far if it weren't for Flowerfur, she thought angrily. "I understand Birdstar." she said sadly. Birdstar nodded. "Since your training mustn't be delayed, I will only give you a warning. Understood?" Streampaw nodded vigorously. "Good now go rest." Birdstar mewed. Streampaw nodded once more and bounded away. She saw Skyheart waiting for her in front of the fresh-kill pile. "Hi Skyheart." Her mother's eyes were wide. "Are you alright honey? You look as if you've lost a fat thrush." she said gently. Streampaw felt her mother lick her head. She's just worried about me, she realized. "I never expected to get into trouble so soon. I... I want to make everyone proud." Streampaw murmured. Skyheart smiled. "Don't worry sweet-heart. You'll be an amazing warrior- and like I said before: I got into my fair share of trouble as an apprentice as well. So don't worry." she mewed warningly.

"I know Skyheart..." Streampaw whispered as her mother began licking her ears. But I am worried...
