The Hero's Daughters From Different Mothers

Chapter 15

The next morning AnnaZelda woke up at the ranch to see Talon already up and eating breakfast. Talon gets up and pulls a chair out for her as she makes her way to the table. "Good morning princess. Do you have to leave so soon or will you be staying for breakfast?" AnnaZelda sits down in the seat Talon had pulled out for her and grabbed the empty bowl sitting on the table with bowls for his wife as well, filling it up with some of the oatmeal in the big bowl on the center of the table.

She smiled at the farmer. "Thank you for everything Talon. I hope I was no burden to Marissa or you seeing as you already have your hands full with Malon. I will take my leave after breakfast to Skyloft hopefully the evil clutches have not gotten there as well as Hyrule."

Talon nods in agreement. "I agree princess. It would be troublesome if there was evil in Skyloft and your father had to leave to save the world.. again. Then again once you get some training I'm sure you would be just as good of a warrior as your father."

The young princess blushes. "Thank you but I really must be leaving to Skyloft. Thank you again for letting me stay the night but I have to get to grandfather. Make sure that Malon grows up to be strong just like her father." Talon nods and leads her outside once she had finished her oatmeal. She lets the horse and foal goodbye and waves at the family before calling her loftwing to come pick her up.

Once she arrives in Skyloft she receives a giant welcome party. Her grandfather, who is the headmaster of Skyloft's knight academy, allowed eveybody to stray from their duties for the day to celebrate.

As AnnaZelda is saying hello to people who welcome her, she is approached by her grandfather and Groose. She turns around and looks at them "Hello grandfather hello Groose. Is there something I can help you with?"

They both nod. "As much as it pains me to say this dear girl, your mother has been assassinated and your father had run off into battle. I'm afraid that as much as I would wish to keep you here I can't. You must return to Hyrule and become queen in your mother's place so there is someone ruling."

Groose looks at him. "Gaepora isn't she a bit young to be ruling a kingdom? She is only ten."

He nods. "Yes I agree, she is a bit young." He turns to her. "AnnaZelda if you agree I would like to put you in an aging crystal to make you age faster. Then you could be able to run the kingdom at a decent age."

AnnaZelda looks at him. "I guess I don't really have much of a choice, huh. It's either that it let my kingdom be overrun by monsterous people. Just do it grandfather, put me in the aging crystal."

He nods. "You're already sounding like a fair and just queen. I'm proud of you for making this decision AnnaZelda. I just want you to know that." He raises his arms and encases AnnaZelda in a green crystal.

The crystal hazes over for about ten minutes before it breaks bringing AnnaZelda out of it. She calls on the ground and looks up at everyone. "Grandfather? Is that you?"

Gaepora nods and opens up his arms for her. "I was in there for fifteen years. You died and Hyrule was overrun by a man named Ganon. I'm not going to just let that happen though."

She begins to walk off but Gaepora calls her back. "AnnaZelda there is something you must know. One you've only been in the crystal for ten minutes, it felt like fifteen years to you because that's how much you have aged in that time. Two by decree you must marry before you are able to become queen. And three we might want to put you in some better clothes that fit you."

AnnaZelda looks down to see the too short dress that fit her when she first came to Skyloft and blushes when she realizes she doesn't have a bra on either. "I agree. Do you have any of mother's old clothes that might fit me laying around grandfather?"

He nods. "Of course they're in her old room. You know where it is go ahead and search for clothes." AnnaZelda takes off towards her grandfather's house while Gaepora stands there to talk to Groose.

"She is beautiful now. I would have never guessed she would look like that I'm fifteen years, not ever. Puberty has treated her well. She looks exactly like her mother, but with that glow for adventure in her eyes, she gets that from Link."

Gaepora looks at Groose. "Well Groose I already told you that you have my blessing. Perhaps you can marry her then both of you can rule Hyrule together. Maybe even give me a great grandchild or two."

Groose nods. "Maybe I will ask her to marry me. I can't really do it right away though because that would be really weird. Perhaps it could be an arranged marriage so it doesn't have to be as weird. If only Link didn't disappear then we could arrange it all."

Suddenly a familiar voice pipes up. "Well I'm here what's being arranged?"

AnnaZelda gets in her mother's old room and starts searching through her old clothes. Soon she finds a sailcloth, a pink dress with a belt and the triforce in the side, and brown lace up boots. She tries them on to see that they are a perfect fit. She grabs a few more outfits in the same size and tries all of them on.

Meanwhile both Gaepora and Groose turn to see Link standing before them on a Skydeck. "Well you see Link we heard about Zelda being assassinated and you going off into battle leaving no one to rule Hyrule, so we put AnnaZelda in an aging crystal to be able to rule at a decent age. When she got out she aged fifteen years and is now ready to rule, but she can not rule unless she is married. I already gave my blessing for Groose to marry her but he wants it to be an arranged marriage between the two of them so he doesn't have to officially ask her."

Link nods. "I see, well in that case I too give my blessing Groose. The arranged marriage will be in a month's time here in Skyloft. I couldn't see a more qualified person to marry my daughter than you Groose. Zelda always thought you'd get together. If only she could be here to see our little girl now."

Gaepora puts a hand on Link's shoulder. "We all do, but she's been reunited with the three Godesses again. They must be glad to have Hylia back with them."

At that point AnnaZelda walks out in the link clothing and tried on earlier and sees her dad with her grandfather and Groose. "Father you're here. I thought you went off into battle." She runs over and hugs Link.

Link looks down to see her little girl all grown up. "AnnaZelda you look just like your mother did when we were your age. Now then I have news for you. You will be married to Groose in a month's time. You'll stay up here in Skyloft for the time being and I'll rule down below until you two are married and then I'll step down."

AnnaZelda looks to Link. "What if I don't love Groose though? Why would I marry him if I don't love him?"

Link just shakes his head. "It's already been arranged there's nothing you can do to change it. Besides your mother and I always said that you and Groose would make such a nice couple. (now for those of you who were thinking, ew he's Link's age and Link is her dad so that's weird, she is now 25 so it's ok now. I made sure that it wouldn't be a weird relationship like that.) Please just go along with this for the sake of the kingdom."

AnnaZelda looks to her father, grandfather, and Groose one at a time. She took time looking at each and every one of their facial expressions before answering. "Well I guess I can learn to love him after a while for the sake of the kingdom. I must confide Sophie in on this as well though. She just has to be my maid of honor. I doubt she'll recognize me now though because I've aged. Guess I'll just have to explain it to her. Am I right?"

Link laughs. "Yes you are. Now as much as I would love to stay up here and visit with everyone I have a son to track down and a kingdom to rule for the next month. I will tell you if I find him. If I do I'll bring him up here to keep him safe from everything that is going on there. Goodbye AZ I love you."

AnnaZelda hugs her father and kisses his cheek. "I love you too daddy."

Ok well damn it's been over a year since I've updated this story. I felt it was about time to update it and keep it rolling. Sorry I haven't updated in such a long time. My life has only gotten busier and busier with no time to do anything. I'm home alone right now and I have no chores so I decided to update stories while I have time. Anyways sorry for rambling I'll just tell you that I'll try to update soon and leave it at that.
