*Jordan's POV*

Eventually an ambulance and a couple of police cars showed up. In a matter of minutes Oak was being loaded in the ambulance and me and Jaylen were climbing in the back, while the officers questioned everybody.

It was at this time I looked over in the direction if the car to see the driver climb out. And the pain inside me immediately boiled I rage. Ronnie climbed out with only a few bruises. He didn't even seem like he was sorry, like this was all planned.
One thing I know for sure was that I was going to kill him.

The whole ride to the hospital was silent. Oak wasn't moving but I could see his chest barely moving so at least he was alive. The pain I had felt was gone now, probably due to the shock.

Jaylen placed her hand in shoulder before she laid her head. I stared at him, his peaceful face was perfect even with the scratches and bruises he still looked perfect.

"I know. You think you can hide it, but you forget that m his best friend. I see everything, but the question is, does he know?" She asked silently

I didn't answer instead I just kept staring at his face studying his flawless sleeping figure. I silently sighed and bent over near his ear. I could still smell his cologne as it stung my nose and made my heart jump I whispered,

"Don't hate me Oak, please don't hate me, but I love you. Please I need you Oak, please come back to me." My voice cracked as tears began to fall.

At first there was nothing, then I felt it. I felt the one thing that instantly created a small smile that crawled against my lips. I felt his soft small hands gently and slightly wrap around Mine.

        *Oak's POV*

I had the worlds best dream, it was short and strange but it was the best. I dreamt that I was riding in a van or a car or something. I felt Jordan's hand reach out and touch mine, as our skin touched it was electrifying, my heart raced with desire.

I felt his hot breathe against my ear, but of course it wasn't really his breath because I was dreaming right? I heard him though it was loud an clear.

"I love you Oak." He whispered, I melted as the thought of his love surrounding me and engulfing my heart in a right and warming embrace. But it was just a dream, it wasn't real.

My eyes felt heavy, I struggled to open them. My body ached with a fiery scream of agony. At first everything was so bright and so blurry, I could hear muffled voices in the room, but couldn't quiet make them out. One sounded like a girls and the other was a boys voice, but that was just about as much as I could make out at the moment.

A loud beeping sound filled the room with its annoying presence. My eyesight gradually began to come clear again. The beeping sound was coming from a machine that was obviously was hooked up to me, the bed I was in appeared to e like a hospital bed, and the voices belonged to Jaylen and... Oh my god... JORDAN!!

It was then I realized that I said his name out loud. As his head shot up my cheeks burned with embarrassment as the dream replayed through my mind. I was such a horrible friend.

He rushed over by my side and out of no where grabbed my face and placed his lips to mine. It hurt like hell but the electricity I felt from the kiss was just to much to bare.

My eyes shot open wide my hands were frozen, I laid there stiff as a board. I glanced over at Jaylen who appeared to be in as much shook as I was, but the difference was she awoke from hers faster than I did.

She mouthed something, but i was long gone I could take it no more as Jordan's lips worked against mine. I melted in his hands and moved mine with his. For what seemed to be forever we kissed in a perfect steady motion. It was flawless. When he finally broke he was crying, at first I thought I did something, so my first instinct was to apologize but that wasn't the case.

"Hey Jordan it's okay we can look past it if you want I didn't......."

"No that's just it I don't want to look past it. For to long I've waited and hid in fear, but no more. Oak I love you." He interrupted as tears fell.

Then I realized it all made since an the reasons why he could be crying were just to obvious. It wasn't a dream then and this was extremely bad. What was his parents going to say, better yet what was his grandfather going to say? His grandfather was a preacher at Bluehill church of Christ just a ten minute drive from the school and our houses. What was people going to think?

Of course Jaylen wouldn't care, but she wasn't the problem what about Ronnie and his gang. What about.... There was just so much that could go wrong. Life sucked.

"I hope I'm not interrupting something." Said a male voice in the doorway.

Jaylen was the firs to speak, "No of course not Doctor Winters." She smiled

"Hello Oak nice to see you again." He smiled

"Hey doc." I replied hoarsely

"Well it's not that bad a few broken bones and bruises but nothing to serious." He explained

"What's broken doc.?" Asked Jordan his voice was a little to much demanding but it was understanding the amount of stress he just but himself in.

"Well his left arm has a clean break and a few small bones on his ribs are cracked, besides his head was split open but that's just about it. You'll have to stay here for a few days but you should be fine. Now if you three would excuse, Mrs. Jenkins has brought in another batch of cats." He said with a large smile.

"Tht crazy woman." He whispered underneath his breathe.

Once he was gone I saw Jordan sitting in one of the chairs in the far corner of the room, he was just staring out of it expressionless.

I looked over at Jaylen as we both agreed to give Jordan some room to deal with his problems.

"Hey I'm headed across the street to get some coffee, you want some?" She asked

"Yeah get me a vanilla latte, please." I replied.

"Jordan, you want anything?" She asked, but there was no reply.

My parents showed up not long after Jaylen returned. Jordan didn't move from that spot but to go to the bathroom or to get something to eat. He even stayed the night while my parents had to leave he never left my side. Was this really happening?
