Thomas
The next morning when I woke up I was glad I had stayed away from the alcohol that eventually made it's appearance in his friends' hands at the party.
Minho, who hadn't been so wise, sat up slowly shielding his eyes.
"Thomas why's it so shuckin' bright in here?"
"That's the sun buddy. When we came home last night you peed on the curtains, I had to throw them out." I laughed at the memory and the horrified look on Minho's face.
"I think my scull's gonna shatter." He rolled out of bed and stumbled to the bathroom, where Thomas could hear him throw up twice before getting in the shower.
With Minho gone I looked at the ceiling, thinking about Newt, the boy from last night.
At first I was so nervous I could barley speak two words to him. Once we started dancing though, I shooed the nerves from my stomach and just had fun.
I really liked Newt and I wanted to spend more time with him.
It had only been a couple hours since I had seen him, but I missed him so much my chest ached.
Pull yourself together Thomas, I thought. He wouldn't, couldn't, ever like you the same way.
I thought about it for a couple more seconds before I impulsively checked the list of dorm assignments. 293.
Before I could change my mind I got and threw my coat on as I walked out the door.
***
A half asleep Newt answered the door wearing only pyjama pants, his hair sticking up in all directions. His face changed from confusion to a grin when he realized who woke him up.
"Tommy! What's up?"
God he looked cute, and I love it when he calls me Tommy. I stood there silent until I remembered I needed to explain my sudden appearance.
"I was bored and wanted to go somewhere, and I don't think Minho will be up to going anywhere until tomorrow." Recalling the retching sounds from my bathroom.
"The guy doesn't know when to bloody stop does he?" Newt smiled and looked like he was thinking.
"Meet me outside in twenty minutes."

Newt
Tommy and I were walking to the Starbucks just off campus, much to his complaint.
"Why does it have to be Starbucks?" He groaned. "Why couldn't it be any generic coffee house? All Starbucks serves is girly lattes with whipped cream!"
At his last comment I pretended to be offended, grabbing my chest in mock hurt.
"Do I need to remind you it was you who came to my dorm at the crack of dawn?" I raised my eyebrows and gave him my best 'You asked for this' look.
"It wasn't the crack of dawn!" He yelled, and everyone on the street turned to look at us.
"It was almost noon!" We both burst into laughter, clutching our stomachs.
***
I had finally convinced Tommy to order a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks, my favourite. Even he had to admit it was pretty good.
We walked through the park sipping our drinks as the wind blew our hair in every direction and leaves across the path.
We sat on a bench in the middle of the park where we could clearly watch children playing on the jungle gym. We were silent for awhile, admiring the fall landscape.
I took a big gulp of my latte and a giggle escaped Tommy's lips.
"What? Is it my hair?" I desperately tried to fix it using my phone as a mirror.
Tommy's face grew serious and instead of answering he gently moved my hands away from my head. He moved closer to me on the bench, until our legs were touching. Ever so slowly he leaned in until our faces were inches apart.
He slowly lifted his hand and using his thumb, wiped away a blob of whip cream from my nose.
He didn't pull away after that and neither did I.
Tommy closed the gap between our lips and planted the gentlest kiss. I hesitated only a second before kissing him back.
I kissed him back.
It lasted five seconds, no tongue or open mouths, just five seconds of our lips pressed together before I realized what was happening.
I pushed the boy away and stood up, watching a look of hurt cross his face.
"I-I have to go." I told him, and with that I turned away and walked as fast as I could. Once I was sure he couldn't see me anymore I ran as fast as I could.
I had kissed a boy.
