Rosalie & Emmett; Their Miracle

I've Always Been Envious

Rosalie's POV:

I've always have been a bit envious of my sister-in-law, Bella. My heart has always ached for a child and when Bella had Renesmee a part of me was crushed that I couldn't have my own child.
"Babe what's wrong?" Emmett questions, noticing the change of my mood.
I'm playing with Renesmee's hair, feeling happy, but then i remember the part of me that is aching for children of my own.
"Emmett, I want a baby." My dry sobs fill the room. Luckily Renesmee fell asleep to me fiddling with her hair.
"I know Rose," Emmett moves to my side, rubbing circles around my back, "but we are vampires."
I nod my head as I burry my face into his chest. Emmett strokes my hair.
"Come on Rose, we have to put Renesmee to sleep." He whispers as he kisses the top of my hair.
I brake away from Emmett and lift Renesmee up off the couch. I walk to her bedroom with Emmett following me. I lay her down in her bed, and quietly leave her room.
Emmett and I are looking after Renesmee whilst Bella and Edward go hunting.
With my supernatural hearing powers I hear the front door open, Bella and Edward are back. Emmett holds my hand as I lead him to the front of Bella and Edward's little cottage.
"How was it." Emmett says.
"Good. Thank you both so much for looking after her." Smiles Bella.
"No problem, she's always an angel for us." I laugh.
I hug Bella then Edward, Emmett then doing the same. We wave to them goodbye as we leave their cottage back to the main house.
As I enter I hear talking coming from the living room.
"Rosalie, Emmett?" I hear Carlisle say.
I follow Emmett to the living room, finding Alice, Jasper, Esme and Carlisle sitting around in a circle.
"Rosalie, Emmett..." Carlisle begins to talk and I can already tell this is going to be serious, "You've both wanted children of your own for a while now, am I correct?"
I cock and eyebrow, and slowly nod my head. What is going on about? Of course I want children.
"Well, I've been working on almost a vampire IVF. I've made a massive break through In the past 6 months and I think I have found a way to make you able to have children."
I turn to Emmett with a grin from ear to ear. Emmett holds my hand squeezing it with excitement.
"But it requires commitment Rosalie." Carlisle sighs, "For 4 weeks you will be stuck on a bed until your pregnancy is over."
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"I will need to retrieve sperm form Emmett and an Egg from you. Getting the sperm will be easy but the egg, not so much."
At this point I don't care what I have to do, I want children.
"the baby will be half-vampire and half-human. Since your eggs were frozen when you were changed into a vampire, that means that they are still human eggs not vampire. Emmett's sperm is vampire so you will have a child just like Renesmee."
I squeeze Emmett's hand even tighter.
"Why will i have to stay on the bed for 4 weeks?" I ask.
"Since the Foetus..." Carlisle starts to explain but I fake cough reminding him that it's a baby not a foetus, "sorry. The baby, is half-vampire, half-human it needs oxygen and blood. You will need to be attached to an oxygen machine and blood machine for the full 4 weeks."
I turn to Emmett and nod my head reinsuring him that I'm fine with it, I'll do anything to have a child of my own.
"I need a yes from both of you." Says Carlisle.
"Yes." Both Emmett and I say at the same time.
"Okay then, we can start the treatment when ever you like." Carlisle says.
I tackle Emmett with a hug and he tightens his arms around me.
"We'll give you two some privacy." I hear Alice say, and everyone, except Emmett and I, leave the room.
"Emmett we are going to be parents!" I squeal with excitement.
"I know Rosalie!" He laughs.
Then I feel his soft lips press against mine.
I can't believe that this is real.

I walk into Carlisle's office and lay on the bed. It's the same bed that Bella laid on when she had Renesmee. My birth won't be life threatening as I can carry the baby, I am still a vampire. Emmett grabs a stool and sits beside me holding my hand. Carlisle walks into the room with a clipboard. Last night we did the procedure for retrieving the egg, we also got the sperm. We also, last night, inserted it in me. It wasn't a comfortable process but it will be all worth it when I have my tiny bundle of joy in my arms.
"Okay, so I'm just going to hook you up to the oxygen and blood machine." Carlisle pulls out a machine with a gas mask attached. He also pulls out another machine with a blood bag attached to it.
"Rosalie, are you definitely sure you want to do this?" Carlisle asks.
"Yes Carlisle, I want a baby." I say.
Emmett holds my hand as Carlisle sorts the machines out.
Carlisle places a drip into my hand and I see blood flowing through the clear pipe attached to it. That's obviously the blood machine. Then he hands me the gas mask and I place it over my mouth. It feels weird to breath. I haven't breathed in around 80 years. I feel Emmett rubbing circles around my left arm that is closest to him. I give him a warm smile.
"You're doing great Rose." He whispers.  The sound of his voice makes me calm.
"Okay, Rosalie I just need to do an ultra sound to see if the egg is being given good nutrients." Says Carlisle. I give a thumbs up because I'm unable to speak with the gas mask. I feel a cold gel on my lower abdomen. Then on the screen beside me, on the right, is the tiny egg foetus. It's already starting to grow because it's half vampire.
"Rose, that's our baby." Emmett laughs. I smile at those words; that's our baby.
It's our baby. Our own baby.
"thank you Carlisle." Says Emmett.
Carlisle nods.
I'm so excited. It's going to a be long four weeks waiting.
