"How's Jasper?" I sigh, asking Esme.
"Not good. Go talk to him Rose. He needs it." Says Esme.
Ever since Alice went to the Volturi, Jasper hasn't left their hotel room. We are still here in Volterra. I don't think we will leave until we get Alice back. We know she doesn't want to be with the Volturi. I leave Carlisle and Esme's hotel room and walk to the room next to it and knock on the door. I hear a faint, "come in.".
I slowly open the door and see Jasper sitting on the edge of his bed staring at the TV, that's turned off.
"Hey." I smile and sit beside him. He doesn't flinch.
"How are you feeling? Look I really am sorry."
"Don't be sorry." He mumbles.
"She's going to come back."
He still doesn't move. He just sits there. I look around the hotel room.
"How about you go out with Emmett and Edward tonight? They're going to watch the football." I offer, to make him feel better.
"I'm okay." He simply answers.
"Are you sure?" I ask. He slowly nods his head. I can tell he wants to be left alone.
"Okay. Um, I've got to go see Emmalie." I smile and then leave his hotel room.
I feel bad. Really bad. It's almost like its my fault that Alice is gone. It is my fault. All of this happened because I wanted a child. I miss Alice. I miss my sister... my best friend.
I open the door to Emmett's, Emmalie's and My hotel room. I hear giggling coming from lounge room. I walk into the lounge room and see Emmalie sitting on the couch with Emmett and them talking. I stop before they notice I am here. I eavesdrop on their conversation.
"Daddy arm wrestle! I can beat you!" Emmalie giggles. I hold in my laugh. She's adorable.
"Okay. Are you sure you can beat me?" Asks Emmett.
"Yes!" She says. I peek into the lounge room and see Emmalie and Emmett about to arm wrestle. They begin. Emmett acts like he's being beaten by Emmalie. Emmalie pushes with her strength and Emmett lets his arm drop. Shaking his head.
"Woah your to strong for me!" Emmett says enthusiastically.
"I know." Giggles Emmalie.
I walk in and Emmalie's eyes light up as she runs towards me.
"Guess what mummy!" She laughs.
"What?" I act confused.
"I beat Daddy in an Arm wrestle."
"That's so good!" I smile. Emmalie grabs my hand and drags me onto the couch. I sit beside Emmett who puts an arm around me. Emmalie climbs onto my lap. She studies my face. She puts her hands on my cheeks.
"Mummy, you're very pretty." She says.
"You're prettier." I say in awe. She cuddles into the space between Emmett and I. Emmalie lets out a big sigh.
"What wrong bubba?" I ask with a soothing voice.
"I just miss Aunty Alice." She mumbles.
I brush a loose blonde curl, hanging in front of her face, out of the way.
"We all do." I mumble.
••••••••••••••••••
"Is there anyway we can get her back!?" Asks jasper, talking to Carlisle. Emmalie is asleep in the bed room. The rest of the family is gathered around the living room.  Renesmee is back in forks. She's staying with Jacob. I don't understand how Bella trusts that dog.
"They won't let her go. Now that she is apart of the Volturi." Carlisle says, still keeping a calm voice. Jasper looks like he wants to go and knock down a hundred houses.
"There has to be some way." Edward utters. Edward pauses for a moment and gathers his thoughts, "maybe If we got someone to replace Alice, for them?"
Jasper looks to Edward with wide eyes.
"Carlisle, it's could work." Jasper says, "can we at least try?"
Carlisle sighs, "that's a lot to ask of someone. We could try... But there isn't really anyone else out there like Alice."
"There are a lot of nomads looking for a coven." Says Emmett. Carlisle shrugs his shoulders. Jasper nods his head. I feel guilty. All of this is happening because of me. I shake away the ache inside of me and clutch onto Emmett's hand.
"We can do this. I'm sure we'll find someone." I speak up.
"Anything to get Alice back..." Esme Adds.
"I'll call the Denali's. Maybe they would know somebody." Says Edward. Everyone nods their heads, agreeing.
Esme stands up and walks over to Jasper, patting him on the back.
"It's okay. We'll get her back." She reassures Jasper. Jasper gives a small grin. I sigh. Right now I really want to go cuddle with Emmalie. She makes me happy when I feel bad. She always puts a smile on my face.
"I'm going to go check on Emmalie. See if she is okay." I mutter.
I leave the living room and slowly open the door to the bedroom, where Emmalie is sleeping. The crack of light from the door, shines into the darkness of the room. I see blonde hair, softly sitting on the pillow, covering it like seaweed. I quietly shut the door behind me and tiptoe over to the side of the bed. I hear tiny breaths flowing in and out of Emmalie's lungs and Her relaxed heart beat. I climb into the bed, resting beside her. She tosses a bit, but then finds a comfortable position, whilst letting out a big sigh. I gently caresses her cheek. She's growing up. She's starting to look more like me. Although, I do see so much of Emmett in her. They both have the same personality. Always happy.
Speaking of Emmett, I hear a knock at the door. I talk so that only a vampire's ears could hear me, "come in."
Then slowly and quietly, Emmett opens the door. He tiptoes in and cuddles in beside me on the bed, placing one arm around my shoulders. I lean into his chest. I love how cuddle he is.
"Are you feeling okay?" He asks me, Still keeping quiet.
"Yeah. I just feel bad for Jasper. I miss Alice." I answer, telling him the honest truth. He doesn't say anything back. Instead, he plays with my blonde curls. He twists them around his finger and let's them fall onto my chest, then he repeats the process. It makes me feel relaxed and calm when Emmett does that. I turn to Emmalie, as I hear her heart quicken. Her bottom lip starts to quiver and her eyes squeeze together. She's having a nightmare. I watch as her eyes quickly blink open. Her blue eyes adjusting to the world around her. Then tears start to form in her eyes and she wipes them away before they fall. Emmett vampire-speeds over to Emmalie's left side. I stay on her right. Emmalie lets out sobs. Emmett gently lifts her up, sitting up right in the bed. He holds her in one of his bear hugs. Emmalie cuddles into Emmett's chest and heavily breaths, alarmed from her nightmare. I brush away the curls falling in front of her face.
"Are you okay baby?" I coe to her.
She slowly nods her head with a cute little pout on her face. Her blue eyes look even more crystallised then before, due to her tears. Even when she is crying, she is beautiful.
"You're okay now. Daddy's here, and mummy." Emmett reassures her. She leans her head on Emmett's shoulder.
"I had a bad dream..." She mumbles, "you both left me by myself."
With those last words, even more tears form, falling down her face.
"We would never leave you." I tell her.
"I know." She slightly giggles, "it was just a bad dream mumma."
She has some of my sass. I chuckle.
"You're right." I laugh. She sits up properly.
"Is it morning?" She asks, out of curiosity.
"Nearly." Says Emmett.
"What is the time?" I genuinely ask.
"Last time I checked it was around 4:30am." He smiles.
I nod. I've completely lost track of time, I thought it was around 12am.
"Arm wrestle daddy!" Emmalie jumps off Emmett's lap, onto the floor, and starts jumping up and down. Emmett laughs.
"you just woke up, how does my little girl have so much energy!?" I laugh. Emmalie laughs along with me, showing her pearly white teeth. She was more energetic than normal human children, it was the half-vampire side in her.
"Okay. Are you sure?" Says Emmett playfully.
Emmalie giggles, "I always win!"
"True. You're strong, like your dad." Emmett compliments himself. I roll my eyes. Emmett really was a child at heart. He loved having kids around. He really is the perfect dad.
"Race you to the living room! Last one there is a rotten egg!" Emmalie says, then she sprint out of the room. Emmett chuckles and let's Emmalie win. If Emmett really did race her, he would have been there even before Emmalie finished her sentence. He grabs my hand and leads me out of the bedroom with him.
"You created a perfect little miracle. Everything I would have asked for in my child. Rosalie, she's perfect. Just like you." Says Emmett. I smile.
I correct him, playfully, "We created a perfect little miracle."
