Dear Friend
About a week has passed, well it's Tuesday of my second well. Sorry I haven't had time to write, work has been a fiasco. Anyways I just a phone call from home today, I hoped to glob it was something about me moving back in with my parents but, no. It was actually from TJ's parents, he shot himself not long after we moved away but they decided they would give me time to settle in before telling me the news of my best friends death.
It stung a lot finding this out, but what was I supposed to do now. He was gone and I was in a different city. Really I shouldn't have cried as much as I did when I found out, he probably didn't even think about me when he did it. I feel like it's my fault though, he died just after I left, just like everything else I love. I turn my back for a seconded and boom it's gone. Never mind, I think I've made a friend of sorts though, there's a girl called Fiona in my PE class and she's always messing about and somehow dragging me into it, I don't entirely mind though.

I dotted the page with the final full stop before standing and stretching out widely while yawning. There was a school football game on today and I was planning on maybe going along to watch, isn't that what you're supposed to do. Go to at least one football game in your high school before you graduate? No matter what, I was going. I wasn't going to mope around the house and get in the way of everyone.
I pulled my dark purple jacket up over my top and fixed everything on my outfit, I probably looked stranger than usual; a dark purple jacket, a faded band t-shirt I got from who knows where and skinny blue jeans, all topped off with my pink converse. I really have no clue what was going through my head as I walked out the door and onto the street, I pulled the car keys out of my pockets and hopped in the car before riding to the school building.
The noise of screaming pupils and cheerleaders cheering could be heard all the way from the car park of the grounds. The smells of the greasy food and sweat from the players also reached my nose as I began walking closer and closer to the stands of the pitch. Grabbing something to eat sounded like a good idea, so I walked over to one of the stands, got some deep fried something or other (Minty was going to kill me). Sitting down I looked around at all of the people cheering and screaming at the players to run or shoot trying to scan the crowd for a face that I knew. It took up to about three minutes before I noticed Fiona jumping up and down waving her hands and screaming as they scored again.
I quickly stood up and switched seats to be closer to her as everyone say down again. There was a space beside her but I didn't sit there just in case she had friends joining her to watch them game, who am I kidding this is Fiona of course she had friends to join her. The game passed pretty quick until halftime, and during half time Fiona started to look around as if looking for someone.
"Hey, you're Gumball from my PE class, sup dude?" Her voice snapped me out of my train of thought. Though I wasn't to sure I had even been thinking about anything at all really.
I nodded at her, "yes that's me." After speaking I ran a hand through my hair which had became greasy in the span for at most two hours. She part the space beside her motioning for me to move over and sit with her, as soon as I did she laughed loudly and the match started back up again.
"So you like football?" I asked not really knowing what to say yo her. She nodded back happily her mouth full of popcorn and hot dog (a gross combination). After chewing her food and swallowing she asked me a question back.
"Do you? Well you more than likely do since you're at a football game, but then again you might not and might just be here because a friend dragged you along." She started to ramble on slightly before actually turning round awaiting for my answer, I chuckled quietly before giving an affirmative nod and she simply nodded back.
Soon after we started talking casually, she asked me all about how I was liking school and the normal things that you want to find out about a person before you become friends with them. Suddenly I felt someone sit down beside me and Fiona perked up and waved.
"Hey Marshall what's up? Thought you said you couldn't make it?" Her pink stained lips curled up into a small smile. I turned around and sitting beside me was a boy (no wonder his name is Marshall you dip), he was smiling back at Fiona and laugh thing quietly as if he didn't want people to know he was laughing. He waved back at Fiona gently before speaking.
"Yeah sorry Fi, but work let me out early. Anyway, who's pinkie?" His voice was exactly what I thought it would be, deep, and spoke as if he was suducing. It was then I realised he was talking about me when he said 'pinkie'.
"Oh, My name's Gumball, I'm in Fiona's PE class. I'm sorta new" I shrugged trying to speak as confidently and I possibly could. Marshal nodded and introduced himself fully, which was quite a funny thing for him to do and Fiona kept pitching in giving random burst of information on the other boy.
"Marsh, are we going to the party after this?" Fiona asked out of the blue her eyes suddenly off the game and onto us.
"Yeah of course, we always do go, wanna come along Gumball?" Marshall looked at me eyebrows raised while Fiona was staring at me wide eyed. She seemed almost shocked that Marshall had invited me to this party, or maybe she was trying to plead with me with large eyes. Instead I shrugged and sighed, I'd never been to a proper party before. I've been to family parties and weddings, but never a teenage party, yes all eighteen years of my life have been 'boring'.
"I've never actually been to a party before" I finally voiced. That's when both of their faces turned to shock, almost as if it was a crime to have never been to a party. Fiona then grabbed my wrist and pulled me up out of my seat.
"Then you're going to this party if you like it or not, come on" She shouted, which was slightly embarrassing as everyone around us was being pretty quiet already. Suddenly I was dragged off by my wrist as I tried to run so Fiona wouldn't pull me face forward. Looking behind me I saw Marshall get up and laugh at us before beinging to walk down thestairs I was just pulled down before he was out of my range of sight.
