Dear friend
It's back again, the dreams are back again. Sleep is harder to get now and everyone has been noticing. Bonnie wakes up as easily as I do, but with my sleep screaming I'm harming her too. So I stay awake. My friends have been noticing my lack of sleep and have tried to question me but the only answer I could think of that was plausible was studying. They try to help though, Cake brings me coffee in the morning along with the one she brings herself. Flame pokes me awake in class, Mono keeps an extra bottle of ice cold water in his bag for me to drink to wake up. Fiona texts me goodnight and tries her hardest to get me to sleep, and I usually do for a couple minutes before Bonnie goes to bed. Marshall also helps, usually he brings an energy drink for me at lunch and phones me at night sometimes so we can talk until I fall asleep. I'm worried friend. How do I deal with this?
School was a drag for the day and at lunch I was just ready for a nap. I arrived early at the table, so I set my bag under my seat and rested my head on my hand staring at the window. I wasn't sure how long I sat there trying to keep myself awake properly while letting my brain sleep, but soon without my notice everyone appeared.
"Hahaha did you see his face Cake, he was all like 'oh my god your so hot' and you were all like 'thanks but no thanks, this piece of bacon was taken' and- and-" Fiona cut herself off laughing as she set down her tray and interrupted my peace. Cake and Mono sat down next, Mono being beside me and Cake on one side of Fiona. The two empty chairs were soon filled though by Flame and Marshall, both bring food with them. A conversation arose about some type of party between Cake and Fiona, as Mono and Flame started to talk a bit to heatedly about the basketball game that was on Saturday.
No words were actually passed between me and the rest of the group, but Marshall, with automated practised moves, lifted out the drink from his bag. Opened it and then set it in front of me like usual. Something unusual though was Flame and Fiona's hands interlinked under the table and Marshall staring over at a girl at another table who turned to wave at him and he waved back. Mono and Cake were also acting closer than usual.
I wasn't entirely sure if it made me uncomfortable or jealous, but whatever it made me feel woke me right up. I felt so awake that I pushed the drink away, muttered a sorry and a goodbye, picked up my bag, and left without another word. Something had snapped inside of me, I was unsure what I'd was but it had just fallen into small little pieces. I ran around the school looking for my sister. I looked for what felt like two hours, which was probably really two minutes, before finding her in her next classroom talking to a couple of her friends.
She took one glance at me, and I only glanced back and blinked twice before suddenly passing out.
(Hey guys, sup, um can I have a couple reviews of this story maybe because I'm not sure how well it's doing? Also sorry to cut this chapter short, don't worry though, the next will be longer.)
