When we arrived at my house Alex and I got out of the car and walked inside.My mother was home and was surprisingly already cooking dinner.So automatically Alex and I walked into the kitchen.
"Hi Mom."
"Hello Zoey...and..."
"Alex."he said
"Hey Alex and I are going to work on a class project in my room...is that ok?"I asked
"That is fine,but will Alex being staying for dinner?"she asked with her back turned to us.I looked at Alex and he looked back at me I nodded so he replied
"I guess I am going to stay for dinner."he said while still looking at me.His eyes never left mine.
After we finished talking with my mom we headed upstairs to my room.We walked in and plopped down on my bed.This was gonna take awhile.
After realizing we had fallen asleep I woke up with my arms around Alex.I tried not to move to much while I untangled my arms.
"Alex wake up."I nudged him.Immediatly he woke up with a surprised look on his face.
"Wait...did we fall asleep?"he asked
"Yea...now lets go eat im starving!"so we got up and went down to the kitchen where my mother had just finished eating her dinner
"I have to go back to work for a few hours do you think you can hold down the fort?"she asked
"I think I'm fully capable,Mom"after I said this she kissed my cheek and walked out the door.
Alex and I sat down to what must have been the most awkward meal in the world.We didn't talk at all we just sat there in silence munching on our food.
After dinner Alex said
"I should probably head home..."
"I'll drive you."
"No,I can walk."he replied.We said our goodbyes and before Alex could walk out the door Alex said
"Do you rap your arms around all your friends?"and with that he walked out the door.
