Chapter 3

Eren's POV
I'm in the woods, leaves and twigs crunching beneath my feet as I rotate in a 360 degree motion, examining my surroundings. Then it hit me. This is the forest Jean beat me up in. I close my eyes hoping that it will suddenly vanish and I will wake up but when I do open them, something far, far worse shrouds my vision. I see Jean and his squad lying on the floor metres away from me, unmoving. There's blood lots of blood and I feel a cold hand grip my shoulder. I turn on my heels but release the tension coursing through my body as I realise who it is. Levi.
"L- Levi? Why are we here? What's going on? How- " He stops me mid sentence with a punch in the gut. I double over in pain before he does it again. Harder. I fall to the floor and bite back a bark of pain.
"Levi?" I wheeze out before I receive a kick to my face in which I hear a loud crack. I scream in agony.
"Pathetic," he kicks me again before bending down so our faces are mere inches apart. "Pathetic, worthless piece of shit." He whispers in my ear and straightens his posture before walking in the opposite direction. I somehow muster the strength and endurance to shout after him.
"Levi! Wait don't..." I cough out blood. "D- don't go..." I trail off.
He huffs. "And why not brat?"
"Because... Because... I love you Levi! I love you..." I whimper the last part before glancing up at him.
A cold, heartless laugh escapes his mouth. "Go rot in hell brat. I'll never like you. Never."
I feel the sharpest pain course through my chest before I feel a warm tear trickles down my cheek. "Levi..." I whisper before everything goes black.

I wake up sweating and gasping for breath as I feel a tear run down my cheek, before I know it, I'm sobbing into my pillow... and then I realise, this room isn't mine. I glance up only to be met by the cold eyes of Levi.
"You were talking in your sleep." He says softly.
Crap! Did he hear me confess?

Levi's POV
I hear a muffled voice coming from behind my bedroom door. What now... I thought as I opened the door. I glanced at him and realised he was sleeping so, I put two and two together and figured he must be sleep talking. Being the nosy person I am, I perched on the edge of the bed he was currently inhabiting in order to listen.
"Levi! Wait don't..."
He's dreaming about... Me?
"D- Don't go..." He trails off.
"Because... Because... I love you Levi! I love you..."
Freckled Jesus! The kids dreaming about me and not only that... He just said he loved me! Gods above!
I snap back into reality when he wakes up crying. I look down at him sympathetically before giving him a warm smile. " You were talking in your sleep..." I say softly.
He blushes the deepest shade of red."Di- did you hear me?"
I let out a small laugh and nod before leaning in and whispering in his ear.
"But what if I mirror your feelings?"
He blushes even more! If that's possible and I laugh once again before walking out and shutting the door behind me.
