OH YEAH NAD THANKS FOR THREE THOUSAND FREAKING READS OMMGGGYBDGUI;GBRTREUYFK. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT _______________________________________________________________________
All too soon we were hoarded into one of the glass pods of the London Eye along with an assorted band of tourists. There were some old American couples, young families and foreign students, all equipped with raincoats.
Get me out off here. Now, I thought. I planned and escape route mentally, if I just stayed at the back and jumped off before the doors closed maybe I could make it out-
Whoosh.
Too late. The doors closed shut around us. There was no going back now. Everyone started crowding their way around the glass walls. I chose to stick to the middle, hoping the motion would feel less there.
'You ever been before?', Brad asked, taking a seat on the shiny bench next to me. I thought of the time my parents brought me as a kid and I just screamed the whole way through. They knew better to leave me on the ground the next time. 'Not in years.'
'Yeah me neither. Its the type of thing you need a reason to visit or you do just so you can tick it off your bucket list'
'So, whats your reason then?'
'You.'
I tried to ignore the my suddenly red cheeks and changed the subject. 'So, you've ticked this off.. What else do you have on your bucket list?'
'This is gonna sound so cheesy,' he cringed,' Have a platinum selling album, win a Brit, have an international tour...' He trailed off. You gotta hand it to him. The kid is ambitious.
'Hmm visit LA, oh, and go skydiving.'
I gagged. 'Oh I'd never do that in a million years! I'm terrified of heights!' I blurted out before I could stop myself.
'Oh well you couldve told me that before I brought you on the tallest ferris wheel in Europe!' He laughed as I bit my awkward lip.
'C'mon, It's not that bad. You'll love it, I promise,' he told me, pulling me up by the hand. I reluctantly got up and was huddled over to the window. I was immediately overwhelmed by the sheer vastness of it, it was a lot bigger than I remembered. It was boundless. Infinite.
'See that arch over there?' The massive white one?' he said, pointing to a spot miles away where I could just about make out the curved shape. I nodded.
'That's Wembley Stadium,' he said, his eyes shining, 'I'll play there someday. Just you wait and see.'
He smiled his wide smile and I couldn't help but smile back. 'And I'll be right up the front, singing along.'
I didn't want to doubt Brad, but Wembley stadium is big, thats when you know you've made it. For most artists it takes years, but who know what the future could hold for the Vamps? It was scary thinking about the future, and fame and everything else that comes with being in a famous band, but with their talent, you can tell they're going to go far. I thought of them touring around the country, getting signed, meeting fans, releasing albums and maybe even going abroad, it made me feel giddy. At least I can say I've been a vampette from the start.
