All during the song I still couldn't take it in. I may have looked calm on the outside but on the inside I was hyperventilating and flailing everywhere. Those boys. Those voices. Their style, their hair, their instruments. They were all so perfect. They were just UNF.
After the song,Maddie turned and looked at me. I knew what she was going to do but it was too late. Before I knew it she was up talking to the boys. I guess I had no other choice but to follow her. She introduced me and I gave a shy smile.
The drummer spoke first "We were going to finish up here soon, if you girls wanted to come for coffee with us?" "Yeah, we know this amazing place just around the corner that has the best hot chocolate in London!", piped in the brown haired one.
"I would love to Brad!'' , I blurted out before I could help myself. Shit shit shit shit Hayley why do you do these things to yourself. Way to go create awkward situations. Noooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooo
The guitarist laughed. "How do you know my name?",Brad asked with a smile. ''umm I came accross your covers on youtube a few months ago..", I muttered quietly. I stared at the ground, hoping it would swallow me up.
James laughed "Uh-oh! Looks like Brad has found himself a new girlfriend!". Brad told him to shut up and punched him in the arm. Everyone laughed. I could feel my cheeks growing red.
We stuck around for a while but I certainly didn't mind. The boys seemed to get better the more you listened to them. They were so different but worked so well together. Tristan had the whole bad boy look going on, Brad was the innocent babyfaced one and James just had one of those faces.. The type you would just go up to and start talking to. They gathered quite a large crowd and soon their bucket of loose change was filled to the brim. They played 'She's So Lovely' by Scouting for Girls to finish which left everyone in a happy mood. It all felt like a dream.
