1 Corinthians 9:24-27
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.
This shows that self control is very essential I life, not only for sports but also studies.
But the main self control humans these days are lacking is self controlling themselves from their smart phones.
I bet many of you know, that we are supposed to give 10% of our earnings to God to show our appreciation towards everything that he has blessed us with.
But do you know we are also supposed to give him 10% of the day he has blessed us with.
Everyday is a new blessing, we sleep tonight never knowing if we are going to wake up again tomorrow,
So we make the best of it today and think about The day God has blessed us with. And give Him the four hours of worship and praise and honor and glory like he deserves.
If you think about the past and worry about your future, you will lose today.
What's done in the past is done, there is nothin you can do to change it, and don't worry about the future because God is there for you, just praise him for today!!!
And let him have your future in His Hands,
Think about it like this,
The God who made the sun, moon and stars,
The whole universe and the whole world is taking care of your life,
You have nothing to worry about!!!
Let's finish this of with a prayer,
Lord we thank you for this day, and help us to rejoice and be glad in it, for you have made this day for each and every one of us to find you, and to come closer to you, change our lives today and help us to have self control towards everything around us. And help us to always remember that if we put you first in our life's, no matter how painful and pitiful our life's may seem, we will always have the Joy of our Lord Jesus in our Hearts, bless every heart reading this Lord and bring a great change in their Hearts today, IN JESUS PRECIOUS NAME AMEN!!!
