Chapter 12

Dani POV

It was early Monday evening and I was let off work early for the day. Even though I was glad be be away for hospital drama, I couldn't think of anything to do.

I didn't want to go home because I knew for sure a sexy someone was there and I don't think I would be able to deal. I didn't want to disturbe Lex at day care nor be around all those kids. And neither my mom or sister would answer the damn phone. What the hell!

Feeling as though i had np choose, I just began my way home. I would just have to advoid the hell out of Marcus while I was there at least until I went to pick up Lex.

What was suppose to be a thirty minute drive felt like five minutes and I was pulling up into my drive way. I walked into the house and was met by silence. Maybe he went out somewhere. Good !

I heading to my room but stopped midway hearing running water from the hallway bathroom. Damnit! Sighing I just went to my room closed to door and stripped out of my work clothes. I tied my curly hair into a bun and turned on the shower. While the water was running I began taking off the little makeup I did have on off. I got in the shower soon after and took my time washing my body. I felt so relaxed and carefree by the time I was finished. I guess I was a little too carefree because once I hoped out the shower I went straight into the kitchen just in a towel.

I turned the corner leading to the loving room and bumped right into a damn wall causing my towel that was losley wrapped around my body come undone. I was too busy regaining conscious to even look up. Until I heard incoherent mumbling.I finally looked up at Marcus who was practically drooling.

"Oh. My. God" I screamed. I was so embarrassed I quickly grabbed my towel and ran to the back. It's not like I wouldn't mind him looking but I just didn't know him that well.

I faintly heard the front door open and knew it was Daniella obviously but just continued my shower. After I was done I brushed my teeth and hair and put on some basketball shorts and a regular t-shirt. I was in the frigerator looking for something cold to drink or something quick to eat. There wasnt anything i wanted and I was kinda tired so I just decided against it and was on my way towards the back to put my big ass in Lex's twin sized bed. I was a lot more comfortable than that damn fuchsia lavender whatever color couch she had. I understood it was all she could give me though, but it was cramping a nigga back something serious.

Turning the corner I felt a face collide with my chest and when I looked down I damn near fainted. I knew Daniella had a body on her her but to see all in detail, honestly had me damn near drooling. I gotta get myself together, she probably thinks I'm some creep. I didn't get a chance to check and see if she was ok cus' she ran off.

~Dani pov~

An hour or so had passed and I had managed to remain in my room unseen and unheard. I never realized how cool it was in the front of my apartment until now. Its hotter than a bitch in here. I couldn't tale it anymore and got up to leave. This time I made sure I had on clothes.

Suddenly feeling kinda bold I went and sat right next to Marcus on the couch but looked straight at the tv. He was watching a basketball game but his attention was redirected when he saw me. I could feel the whole he was burning into the side of my face but I just looked straight ahead at the tv knowing something stupid was bound to come out my mouth.

"Your out of juice" Was the first thing to come out of his mouth. Excuse me ? I was confused as hell. He cut the tv off and turned to look at me completely. Yet I still looked ahead.

"What are you talking about ?" I asked. I didn't understand why the hell he was talking about juice.

"It was the first thing that came to mind. I didn't want make things awkward but... Man I don't know." He seemed nervous as far as I could tell but you never know either way he looked so good without a shirt on.

I didn't even respond, because I didn't know what to say. Just as I was about to get up and leave I heard him ask me a question .

"So, um how was your day ?"
