Ian's POV

In dealing with the apocalypse, you need a frying pan.

We were currently at the second floor, but I honestly don't think they're here. Whatever the heck it is, we'll just have to get ready about it. As ready as Toby and Zach can be.

But you know, why frying pans?

We were on a kitchen at the second floor when this young man about our age attacked us with a knife, Toby panicked and threw the frying pan on his face. He reeled towards the wall, and that's when Zach smack him with another frying pan.

Weird, I'll tell you. But whatever the hell Disney taught you, you should believe it. Might save your life, you know?

"So...what next?" Toby asked me, grinning ears to ears. He looked like he wanted to smack another human being, or worse, actually enjoying it.

"Dunno. Maybe we can check downstairs and see what they're doing." Zach suggested, looking back and forth.

I thought about it for a second. "They won't be happy if we mind their business."

"Dude." Zach patted my back.

"How about we go upstairs? We can complete more floors by doing that. And if Thalia, Nico and Bob succeeded, then we'll just have to go to the fourth floor."

They looked at each other for a second, then nodded their heads in unison.

"You're the boss."

We went to the fourth floor. The floors, like what I told you before was cemented so it's easier to lessen the noise we have. If it was wood, it would be so damn hard. The stairs were made of cement as well, like those of emergency stairs and exits of hospitals. If I were to predict what was this building years ago, I'd say that it was pretty much a hospital.

Hospitals with kitchens...

"I am by far enjoying this...this is like Call Of Duty in real life...except no guns, you know, just frying pans." Toby said as he walked the last steps of the stairs. Zach nodded in agreement. I shook my head for once.

"I am by far not. You do realize that we could die here." I said and bit my lips hoping this is just a stupid dream.

I was, in fact, afraid of death. Very afraid of death. I'm worried that if I die, the Heroes of Olympus movies will be released. The previous movie series was very bad and I was hoping they'd do an accurate one. Dam, that would have been good.

I'm also worried that if I die, I wouldn't have the books I'd want to read like that Norse trilogy, Magicians and Demigods and that one about Sun God Apollo. I wouldn't be able to watch movies like Allegiant and Death Cure. Freaking Newt died there...

And lastly (and least) I'd be dead and numb and plain dead.

But as a fanboy, I'm pretty sure I'd raise out of the land I was buried just to buy that last book of the series.

Pretty much my life.

We stopped when someone cocked a gun on someone's head. I look to see Zach, frozen in fear as the man put his gun on the side of his head.

Both of his hands flew up as he whimper. "We were just...looking at the building...please don't kill me. I have so many things to do. I haven't finish that COD game I left in my house..."

This is no time for joke. As far as I know, Zach's mouth have no filter apparently, and all what he speaks about has no sense whatsoever.

Toby cleared his throat, frying pan on his side. I told him to get the attention of the man using best buds communication- that look at each other and know what they're actually saying.
