I have a way with heartbreak
When it hurts too much
I shut off
And go into a state of numbness
In that period
I'm empty
Nothing can hurt me
But I'm irrational
Logic escapes me
And I know when I come to
I'll regret my actions
Like I most often do
I fear reaching that state
Cause I fear losing you
