Epic Eighteen | Part 1

Today's the day! I'm finally the big 18! I'm officially an adult. I can vote & everything now! I feel like I've been waiting forever & it's finally here. Of course I'm spending the day with my lovely boyfriend Nick. With the addition of some of Nick & Joe's friends. And later we're all going to this club Boulevard3. It'll be my first time ever going to a club. I won't be able to drink but I know I'll still have a good time. Once again we have to come up with a complicated way to do this. We can't walk in together or walk out together. I'm going in with a girl I met on campus. I'll be leaving with her too. And Nick says the club is really packed & no paparazzi is allowed in so he doubts anyone will see us together in there. Plus he said we'll be in the VIP section. But until all that, we hung out at Joe's place for once. We had a little party in his house. He had a maid so he didn't really care about his house getting messy. When I was leaving the dorm I saw Brianna as I was heading out. She looked right at me & didn't say a word! I'm not asking for a "hey girl, let's be bffs again. I miss you." But a "happy birthday" or even a "sup" would've been nice. And even though we're no longer friends, we've known each other for years & I know she wouldn't forget my birthday. She knew. She just didn't care. But I'm not gonna let something as small as that ruin my day. I left the dorm & caught a taxi to Joe's house. His house was nice. It was in a gated community like Nick's. It was huge like Nick's too. The door was open so I walked in & as soon as I got to the living room, I was greeted by everyone. Everyone shouted happy birthday so loud it almost broke my eardrum. Surprisingly Nick screamed it the loudest. He wasn't a very expressive person but today he was. I smiled & kissed him.

"Happy birthday baby. You're finally 18!" He said.

I smiled. "I know! I can finally vote!"

"And do some other things..." Joe said in a low tone while smirking.

"Joe!" Nick yelled while punching Joe in the stomach.

"Ow! Goddamnit man! You know you're like strong as shit now! You can't be punching me in the stomach & not expecting it to hurt!" Joe said holding his gut.

"I wasn't even trying!" Nick said laughing.

I laughed. "So Joe? What are you cooking? Smells pretty good in here."

"Glad you asked. A little birdie told me you love chicken Alfredo." Joe said.

I looked at Nick & he smiled. Aw he pays attention.

"So that's exactly what I made. Plus grilled asparagus & I made you a cake. It's right over there." He said pointing to the cake in the kitchen.

I walked into the kitchen & my jaw dropped. It was a chick fil a inspired cake. Anyone who knows me knows I love chick fil a.

"You...you made this?" I asked.

"Yep. Sure did." He said.

"Joe, I'd appreciate it if you didn't lie to my girlfriend. He didn't make that Melanie. A bakery did." Nick said.

"Nick...must you always ruin the fun?" He asked.

I laughed & Nick smiled.

"Well it still means a lot to me that you did all this for me. The cake looks amazing! I can't wait to eat it. Can you eat it?" I asked examining the cake.

"Yes you can. Everything on that cake which I PICKED OUT & PAID FOR is edible! You're welcome." Nick said smirking.

"Well thank you Nick. It looks great. You know me well." I said smiling & kissing him.

"Who has the best boyfriend in the world?" Nick asked.

"I do!!" I said kissing his cheek.

"Ugh. You guys are disgusting! Go get a room. And you're 18 now so if that's what you wanna do feel free. I got a guest room upstairs nobody ever uses so if y'all wanna-

"Please stop talking." Nick said.

"Uh...anyways, can we eat now?" I asked.

"Of course. You guys can come on. Melanie's here & everything is ready." Joe said.

As soon as he said that, they all got up. Everyone helped themselves. Nick refused to let me make my own plate. He said since it's my birthday I get to be lazy & I don't have to do a thing. I told him I can make my own plate but he insisted. He made me a plate & set it on the table for me. Then he pulled a chair out for me & I sat down as he pushed it in. Nick sat beside me. We all enjoyed the meal & talked. It was Gigi, Graham, Jinjoo from Joe's band & this guy Gavin. They were all funny as hell! I was having so much fun & we haven't even gotten to the best part yet!
