Five

~Phil's POV~
I was sleeping peacefully in my bed with Dan. My arms wrapped around his waist, holding him close to me. It was maybe 4am, so Kairi was sound asleep. Or that's what I thought.

I hear a loud cry come from the baby monitor and I sighed. Dan groans and snuggles towards me.

"It's your turn." He mumbled.

"I know." I got up, putting my glasses on and grabbed my phone. I went to Kairi's bedroom, seeing my 9 month old daughter crying.

"Da-da." She cried. I pick her up and held her close to me.

"Shh... It's okay baby girl. Daddy is here. It's okay." I say and hummed a song. Her cries became silent and she just listened to me. I smiled at her.

"See. Everything is okay." Kairi points to her mouth. "Foo" she spoke. "You're hungry? Let's see if we have little snacks for you." I tell her. "No. Foo." I shook my head as I let out a laugh. "This is why I told your dad to never say 'no' around you." I carried her to the kitchen, setting her in the high chair.

"Carrots? Peas?" I open the cabinet and look at Kairi. She shakes her head no. "Strawberries and bananas?" She nods her head. I grab the container of the baby food, pulling a chair up to her high chair. I started to play some Fall Out Boy, and started to feed Kairi. "Bury me till I confess." I sang along and Kairi smiled at me and made a cute squeal.

After I was done feeding her, I cleaned her mouth and then burped her. "Dada." She grabs my shirt and lays her head on my chest. "I don't think I'll get you back to asleep... So why don't we watch cartoons." I spoke to Kairi. She looks at me with tired eyes and nods. When I got to the living room, I grabbed myself a blanket and pillow. I made myself comfy and laid her on my stomach.

I was up for maybe 2 hours watching spongebob until I went to sleep.

"Good morning sleepy head." My eyes flutter open and I see Dan in front of my face. I smiled and he kissed me softly. "Morning breath." I said making a look which made us laugh.

"Dada." I heard a faint sound. Kairi was still on my stomach. Her green eyes looking right me and then at Dan. "I think she wants her daddy." I said yawning. Dan picked her up and went to her bedroom. We do plan on making a video of Kairi. Everyone loves her. She has made my and Dan's life even better. She's everything we could ask for.m

"Oh shiiiiii-oot."I heard Dan. "You need help, Dan?" I asked. "I'm good!" I shrug my shoulders. I went to the kitchen and made myself a bowl of cereal. This time I broke nothing, thank god! When I was eating my Shreddies, I noticed how quiet it is in the apartment. What is Dan doing? It's never this quiet. My phone goes off and I see a text message.

From: Dan Howell🔥
Hai babe. Can you come to Kairi's bedroom?

Okay... I place my bowl on the counter and my phone, and then went upstairs. "Dan?" I open the door to see flower petals on the floor. Kairi was in her crib and I pick her up. "Hey baby girl, where's daddy?" I asked. She was silent and smiled a little bit. That's when I read her shirt.

"Would you marry daddy one day?" I read out loud. Wait...

~Dan's POV~
I was nervous. Nervous of what I'm about to do. I've planned this a long time ago, but waited. This moment is perfect. When I texted Phil, I looked at Kairi. "Okay princess, you don't tell daddy where I am. Got it?" I asked. She nod and sat in the crib. "Dada. Dada." She said. I walked out the room to our bathroom. I heard Phil walk inside Kairi's room and grabbed the box in the dresser drawer.

"Would you marry daddy one day?" That's my cue and I walked in Kairi's room slowly. I tap Phil's shoulder and he turns around with Kairi in his arms. "Dan..." He started.

"Phil... Where do I begin? Well... Since 2009, I was in love. 18 years old and in love with another boy that was 22 on YouTube. The day I met you, I was scared and excited. Like... You didn't know I was bi and madly in love with you. We were being all lovey in our first video, like we didn't care. We even kissed that night." I smiled at the memory. "Since then, we've been best friends and wondering if we should date. Then January 5th, 2010 I asked you to be my loving and weird boyfriend. Literally one of my favorite days ever. You've made me the happiest person ever and deal with all my crap. When I struggled with college, my existential crisis and more. You're always there for me. I'm happy we told the fans and started a family already." I look at Kairi and Phil again. "Just... Phil, I have loved you since I was 18 and I want our love to last forever. So I'm asking..." I get down on one knee.

"Philip Michael Lester, will you marry me and become my husband?" I asked and opened the box that the ring was in

Phil was in tears, looking at Kairi and she gave him a big smile and then looked at me. "Yes. Yes yes yes. A million times yes." Phil cried, nodding his head over and over. I get up, and place the ring on Phil's ring finger. I wrap my arms around him and Kairi, giving him a kiss.

"I love you so much." Phil whispers. "I love you more." I whisper back. Kairi giggles and claps. "Dada! Dada!" I look at Kairi. "Daddy and I are getting married!" I tell her and she looked happy, even though she may not know what it is. "I also got that all on video." I tell Phil. "Really?" Phil asked. "Yea. We can post it whenever you want. If not now, don't wear the ring in public or where it's noticeable in photos and videos. You can after the video it posted." I said. "Agree. I want to wait a bit. 2 weeks?" He suggested. I agreed.

Then for the rest of the day the three of us watched Disney movies, scrolled through tumblr, ate food and told friends and family how Phil and I are engaged.

Today was a good day.
