Alessio POV

'My goddess, did she pass out on us?!?' My Wolf was gazing down at our Mate through my eyes, the smirk clear in his voice as he practically broke my arm to clap us on the back for a job well done. 'Well, idiot, I gotta hand it to us, we did good- we did real good.'

Rolling my eyes, I nodded in mute agreement and swept a slow hand across her forehead; goddess, she was (temperature) hot... Rolling off of her, I pulled the sheets off with me, if only so she might cool down- and not to stare at her luscious naked body.

'You did surprisingly well... I figured you'd take over and have your way with her...' It was honestly shocking that he didn't even scratch at the surface, or howl to be let out, and even try to take over.

'Look, idiot, I didn't mean I word that I said back there, in the meadow- surely you know that... It was all talk; I was trying to make you angry enough to finally just at least kiss her, if not go ahead and Mate with her... I can hide my time, ya know, and I will- until they're both ready...'

Truth rang in his words, once again rendering me speechless. That's what all that was about; because he wanted me to Mate with her?!? 'Who knew you had a decent, patient bone in your body!'

'My patience won't last forever, boy, so you'd better hurry up and make your damn move...' Now he was getting angry. 'I will not hurt her, and I will not Mate with her, until after you do... I wanna know how rough she can take it, so I know how rough I can be...'

Nodding again in agreement, I flopped over on my side and lay there, gazing down at her. Goddess, she was beautiful. Then an idea popped into my head. 'I bet you're dying to see her Wolf again...?!? If you can swear to the goddess that you won't do anything-'

'-I won't! I wouldn't even dream of it-' my Wolf interrupted.

'-I'll let you out. We can go outside even, to our clearing, if you'd like. I'll even let you carry her...' Woah, why was I all of a sudden being nice to him?!? He was still a jackass!

'FYI, you and I, we're the same, idiot!' He released a husky Wolf chuckle with a smirk in my head. 'Let's get to it!' Before I could stop him, he sprung in an agile crouch off the bed and Shifted.

The feeling of only being halfway Shifted was one I hadn't felt in awhile, and one that I did not like; being half man, half Wolf was weird, but not so weird that we couldn't work together to clutch our Mate tightly to our chest as we walked downstairs.

The Pack House was still dark as everyone else slept; I had no idea, then, what time it was but, as we passed the kitchen, I read the clock. 4:11 in the morning. Shouldn't I be more tired?!?

'You can sleep when you're dead... Right now, we have a Mate that needs my attention...' Then he was quiet, as we walked through the front door and into the night. 'If she weren't so hot from her Heat, this would be a bad idea...'
