Derek laid there.

2 AM.

Simply thinking.

About what?

Why a little shy Bethany Mota.

He left home when he was 13, he was now 23. And he still thinks late at night about the same girl.

How ironic.

How cliche.

He compared her face to the face he knew a decade ago, how it looked the same except it's just matured now.

She's absolutely stunning.

Then he thought about himself, how he looks nothing like the scronny little boy with basically no teeth and an awkward haircut.

Looking back he had no idea how he was popular and how he got all the girls.

He wondered if Bethany would recognize him. How he now spend more than 10 bucks on a haircut, how he was now strong and build, and now that he has all his teeth and a nine o'clock shadow from not shaving in a few days.

How cliche would it be if she did?

He shook off all these thoughts running through his head and tried to get some sleep.

"Janel!" Bethany said ecstatically walking into Gina cafe.

"Hey hey!" Janel smiled going in to hug Bethany.

"It's been so long!"

"I know! What's up with you?"

"You know, Youtube, my clothing line, the usual. I just got back from the book tour little over a week ago. But forget me and my not so changed life. What about you?? You got booked on Dancing With The Stars! How amazing is that??"

"I guess it's pretty cool.. I'm so excited!"

"Who's your partner?"

"I'm not allowed to say til the cast revel on Thursday. You should come!"

"Maybe, I'll see if I can stop by."

"You'll love it! Everyone is so nice, and there's a few cute pro dancers there too." Janel joked winking at Bethany.

"I mean, the cute ones are the best." Bethany laughs, "So, what do you want to eat?"

"I kind of want a thai noodle salad."

"Oh that sounds really good! I kinda wanted the fish tacos."

"Oh that sounds good too!" Janel agrees flipping the menu to the tacos

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Bethany raises her eyebrow.

"Splitzies!" They both says laughing.

As if on cue, the waitress comes.

"Hey Bethany, can I get you guys your order?"

"Hi Melody, well take the fish tacos and a thai noodle salad, and an extra plate please." Bethany smiles.

"Alright, that's be right up!" Melody smiles walking away.

"You know our waitress?" Janel asks sipping her coffee.

"I come here often, it get's pretty lonely here in New York so I'll take whatever friends I can get. We've hung out a few times. I guess you would say we're friends"

"If it gets lonely in New York, then you should move to LA!"

"Janel, you know I wish I could but, I have commitments here! Plus I love it here!"
