As Bethany walked into the club with Janel and Val she let out a breathe realizing the only people that were there was Witney, Carson, Sharna, Peta, Mark and Bc. And NO Derek.
"Guys! This is my friend Bethany Mota. Beth, this is Witney, Carson, Sharna, Peta, Mark, and Bc!"
"Bethany.. Bethany Mota.. That name sounds so familiar! Why does that sound familiar!?!" Witney asked staring at her face.
"He knows Derek... They grew up together." Val said raising an eyebrow at Witney hinting back to that night
"Oh?" Witney continued to stare at Bethany for a moment til it hit her. Witney's eyes suddenly widen suddenly. "ohh!"
"What..." Bethany asked very spectacle scared they know about the kiss.
"Oh nothing! It's just I think I saw a photo of you two when you two were little."
"Oh.." Bethany simply smiles lightly.

The night went on Bethany was having a blast. She spent the night dancing with Janel and Witney, she was actually able to get to know Witney pretty well, and by the end of the night they were great friends.
Everyone was sitting in a booth as they ordered some food to end the night off along with some small talk.
"So Bethany, you live in New York?" Mark asks as he also looks at the menu.
"Uh yeah." Bethany smiles.
"What's it like?"
"It's pretty amazing, I love it there. There's always something incredible to find. It gets sot of lonely sometimes. But it's alright I have Lucy."
"Your roommate?" Bc asks.
"Uh, no.. Well sort of. Lucy's my little pup. She's 5 months."
"AWE!! That's adorable, do you have a picture?" Witney asks getting very excited.
"yeah" Bethany says as she pulls out her phone.
As the girls gush over Lucy, they didn't know an extra person coming up to them.
"My brother!" They hear Mark say.
After a few moments, Bethany lifts her head to see who Mark's 'brother' is.
And it's none other than Mr. Derek Hough..
Great..
"Derek, you already know Bethany right?" Witney asks as Derek sat down beside Mark.
Derek looks up to meet eyes with Bethany, his eyes widen,
"Uh.. Yeah. We grew up together."
"Isn't it crazy how you two grew up together.. Then like what.. 10 YEARS later being reunited by friends!?" Bc says laughing.
Just as Bethany's awkward tension was being raised the waiter came in to take orders.

The night was winding down, everyone else in the club was gone except for the Dancing With The Stars cast.
"Well, we all better call it a night. We still have rehearsals tomorrow." Mark says standing up.
"Yeah, Bethany, how long are you in town for?" Witney asks as she puts on her jacket.
"I leave on Sunday."
"Awe! So you won't be coming to our next show?"
"No, I'm here for work til Saturday, but I have a meeting on Monday morning in New York so I have to head back."
"Awe boo! Well here, give me your phone and I'll give you my digits. We have to grab lunch before you leave!" Witney saids taking Bethany's phone.
"Oh me too!" Bc jumps in
"Yeah me three!" Peta jumps in as well.
"Hey!! The Aussie wants to hangout too!" Sharna says.
As the girls typed in their numbers, Bethany and Janel said their farewell.
"I know you have three new besties to see once more before you leave, but do you think you can still squeeze me in?" Janel says giggling.
"Of coarse love!" Bethany said laughing along.
"Bethany, do you want a ride back to your hotel?" Val asks.
"Uh, no I'll be fine calling a cab."
"Alright. It was nice to meet you, message me if your ever in town yah?"
"For sure!" Bethany hugs Val as he heads out with Janel.
Bethany soon gets her phone back from the girls and they all hug one last time as they head out as well.
Then there we're two..
Bethany and Derek.
"Uh..." Derek stuttered. "Are you sure you don't want a ride? I can totally drive you."
"No it's fine.." Bethany bit her lip in nervousness. "I'll be fine."
"No.." Derek steps in.
"What?" Bethany looked at him wide eyed.
"I'm driving you back to the hotel. So let's go." Derek said. He wanted to take care of her..
That and he desperately needed to talk to her.. About..
Well, everything.
"Alright then.. Let's go." Bethany said looking straight ahead now wishing she took Val's offer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The car ride was fill with awkward tension. The only sounds being the traffic around them and the quiet radio playing the current hits like Stitches and Same Old Love, and the odd time when Derek would turn his head to look at Bethany.
As he pulled up into the driveway of the hotel Bethany tried to opened the door as fast as possible to get out..
Tried.
"No, Bethany.. We have to talk."
"Nothing to talk about Derek. Goodbye."
"Bethany.. We both know something is wrong here."
"I don't know what your talking about." Bethany says biting her lip.
"Why are you biting your lip then?"
"What?"
"You bit your lip when your sad.. You always have. Why haven't you answered any of my calls or texts!? We had such a great time that night at your place.. And that kiss..."
"Yeah Derek.. That kiss.. That goodbye kiss.."
"It was-" Bethany cut him off.
"Exactly that.. Goodbye... Derek I always thought we could've gone somewhere together. Ever since we were little kids! Then you moved and I didn't see you for 10 damn years then you come back into my life just to say goodbye! And with a kiss! Damn it! Who does that?! When I was little I thought our first kiss would be a proclamation of our feelings or the beginning of a relationship! Not a stupid goodbye!"
Bethany takes a second to breathe and try to calm down..
"Well then again. I was like 10 when I thought that. What was I thinking right? I wasn't, I was just some stupid naive 10 year old little girl with a crush on the boy across the street." Bethany bit her lip.
"Well, this time, there is no kiss... Goodbye Derek." Bethany opened the car door and as she slammed it shut Derek said,
"Wait Bethany.."
That's all she heard. She ran into her hotel and she was gone..
"I didn't want that kiss to be goodbye..." Derek whispered to himself banging his head back..
"I wanted it to be hello..."
