"So tell me Miss Mota, what have you been doing these past 10 years?" Derek says as they get settle in the restaurant.
"Well, after you left for London. I remained the same, the quiet girl who lived everyday without any friends. About a year later I started doing these youtube videos about makeup and hair.." Derek politely cut her off.
"Makeup and hair? Bethany Mota? Those are words I never would've thought would have strung together. You hated that stuff when we were little!"
"I did indeed. But something changed in me, I felt like I needed to get out there. Stop being the shy girl, it was a topic. So I did it. Anyways, after a few years, I was approached by Aeropostale to launch a clothing line. And it kind of blew up, I ended up having to move to New York so I could work on the line more often."
"Wow! That's amazing, I never would've guessed you'd be in a big city like New York." Derek laughed lightly.
"Where did you think I'd end up?"
"I always pictured you in a small place, smaller than Salt Lake. Get a job at an office typing away or maybe a librarian. You'd be a real cute librarian." Derek winked jokingly but oddly cute.
"Well I'm not!" Bethany giggles, "So what about you Mr. Dancing with the Stars?"
"I've done pretty well on the show.." Derek laughs awkwardly scratching the back of his neck.
"Have you won yet?" Bethany smirks raising an eyebrow before laughing.
"Yeah I have... 5 times." Derek quickly grabs his water and takes a sip.
Bethany's eyes bugged out for a moment.
"Wow."
"Yeah."
"Alright, so I have your orders!" The conversation was interrupted by the waitress.

The lunch was causal, they caught up on life, where their career's were going. A few childhood memories were brought up along with laughter and smiles. But the end was upon them.
"So that was fun." Derek smiles as the bill comes their way.
"Indeed it was Mr. Hough."
"Alright, here's the bill. Feel free to leave the money on the table! Have a great day!" The waitress says dropping off the bill.
Before Bethany could even raise her hand Derek had put money on the table.
"Derek, you don't have to pay for me!"
"Don't even worry about it!" Derek smiles.
"No! I feel bad! Let me pay for my half at least."
"No no no! I won't let that happen!"
"Well, let me pay you back!"
Derek thought for a moment before a slight smirk came across his face.
"Well... I have a few more hours to waste in New York, how about I spend it with a youtube sensation?"
"I can call up one of my friends to hangout with you." Bethany smiles pulling out her phone.
Derek stood there dumbford.
Bethany looked up from her phone before bursting out in laughter.
"I'm kidding." Bethany laughs, "How about we head to my place, watch a movie maybe make some cheesecake brownies?" Bethany smirked reminding him of the great cheesecake brownie accident.
