                                                                         Chapter 2

                                                                   Alice's point of view

              I walked out of my room, back down the hallway and down the stairs. William turned around the corner just in time to bump into me. "Oh! I'm so terribly sorry," He scrambled to his feet and then helped me up. "Alice," He said and then took a bow. 

"Stop that," I said getting annoyed. 

"Stop what?" He asked staring at me with wide and curious eyes. 

"Stop the.....Bowing and the curtsying thing!" I said trying to walk around him as I turned a shade of red. 

"Then how shall I address you?" He asked with a serious face. I almost laughed at that question. "Umm... Like hello, good afternoon. Hi, what's up? Or yo, how's it going?" 

"Well let me try. Yo, how is it going?" He asked with a serious face throughout the whole sentence. 

"Don't do that ever again. Just stick with hello" I said with a small half smile on my face. 

"Okay." I walked around him and soon thought of questions that were swimming around in my head. I quickly spun around to find him breathing heavily standing over me. "A-Alice...R-Run," William stuttered through a breath. 

"From what?" I asked suddenly frightened. 

"From me.....," He said straightening up and then wrapping his arm around my back pulling me up against him. His eyes were covered by his hair and his buck teeth were gone, but there were large fangs coming out of his mouth.

I struggled to get free, but he was too strong. "Your blood calls me," William whispered in my ear. He placed his lips up against my neck and kissed it gently. He came up to where he looked into my eyes. "I'm-I'm sorry," He whispered. 

"Please don't!" I tried to struggle even more, but he tightened his grip and placed my hand over my mouth. He placed his lips up against my neck again. I closed my eyes waiting for the pain, but pain never came. Instead I felt sudden hands on my shoulders and was ripped from Williams arms. 

"William, Go to the kitchen," The voice demanded and I recognized that voice. It was Hatter. 

I opened my eyes to see him supporting me and him staring at me with worried eyes. "Are you okay?" He asked staring at my neck where William's mouth was. 

"Y-Yeah," I said standing up fully, no longer needing his support. 

"Do you feel any blood loss?" 

"No, I'm just a little frightened. I'll just go get some fresh air." 

"Maybe I should go with you," He said stepping forward as I stepped back. 

"No, alone." I quickly ran down the hallway and back up the stairs and to the Queen's door instead of going to go get that fresh air.

I heard whispers from inside. I pressed my ear against the wood of the door. "She's not ready! What don't you understand?" I heard a male voice that sounded awfully familiar. 

"I understand this, but we have no choice. We will train her as much as we can before she goes," I heard the Queen say. Just then I heard footsteps getting closer. I quickly ran to my door and stood next to it.
