Chapter 10

That afternoon Baekhyun had gotten home and noticed that there was a CD inside his backpack. Baekhyun wondered how it had gotten in there and then remembered when Chanyeol had scared him earlier. He wondered why he had placed it there secretly, yet he figured he just wanted to surprise him. He opened the CD case, ready to listen to it, but he saw a sticky note on top of it. It read 'Don't listen until I tell you'. Baekhyun groaned in annoyance, however did what the note asked and closed the case again.

The next day at school Chanyeol wasn't there. Baekhyun was a little curious as to why he hadn't shown up, but figured he must still be ill from the previous day, since he checked out early. The bell rang, signalling it was time for fourth period. Baekhyun gathered his things and headed to class, but he was stopped on his way by the principal. The principal asked to see him in his office. Baekhyun was confused, wondering what he had done wrong. The only thing coming to mind was skipping class a couple weeks ago, but why was he being punished now, two weeks later. It didn't make any sense. His mind pondered the reason he was being summoned to the principal's office. Once he reached the office, he saw a woman, puffy eyed, she looked as though she had been crying. The woman was then addressed by the principal, who told her of whom Baekhyun was. The woman smiled a sad smile before handing him a DVD and note. She then grabbed him and pulled Baekhyun into a tight embrace. He could tell she was crying, so he allowed her to stay there. After a few minutes, the woman released Baekhyun and he went to class. He had placed the DVD and note inside my backpack. He hadn't thought much of them, only wondered who the woman was, and why she had been crying. When he got home, his whole world crashed down upon him. It all made sense. And there was so many things Baekhyun realised he should've done, but by now it was too late.
